I think he's done well for us and I'd be happy for him to sign a new contract, then on the other had I really wouldnt be bothered if he left. I just don't think he's ever really embraced being a Villa player maybe he thinks he has a higher ceiling than us, I just don't feel any passion for the club from Ollie. I am jealous of teams like Brighton who have good recruitment and make money on their transfers, but I suppose you have to be willing to let players go in their prime and have faith in the clubs ability to replace them. As I suspected Dougie is one of the leaders now. If Caciedo is £100m then Ollie is at least that much. It’s what he’s worth to us and how much a replacement will cost. They're not interested in creating a proper football simulation IMO. Anyway back to Watkins and I think some of these valuations are fanciful when he's running down to the last year of his deal. I play neither game Just interesting to see how our players (and club) are perceived… from the outside.
