Gone to extra time in the Play Offs vs Sunderland.

1-1 at the moment and both teams are down to 10 men.

We went 1-0 up early on, Sunderlands twitter describing it as a low shot after we nicked possession on the edge of their box.

Agnew equalised for them on 31 minutes with a 35yrd shot which took a deflection on it's way in.

We went down to 10 men after we brought one of their players down who was clean through on goal.

Sukar was sent off for Sunderland for a foul on Grealish in extra time

No word on who was sent off or who scored for us as it appears Sunderlands twitter account only knows Grealish's name.

Update: 1-1 Still just gone half time in extra time

The u18s have been training at St Georges today.

Really impressed with how the u18s performed in the second half of the season. Several lads who were not getting pro deals were moved on, others spent more time playing u21 and next gen football. This opened the door for several 14 and 15 year olds to step in and gain vital experience. Jerell Sellars has been the top man scoring something like 15 goals in the stunning second half of the season.

It all bodes well for the future.

Never sure if academy is under 21s as well or just u18s.. So apologies if wrong thread.. Was Williams the only one to make a first team bow this season? With maybe Burke on bench a couple of times?

Be nice to see a couple more next season.. Grealish, Carrurhers etc

CORNISH footballer Liam Prynn will complete a dream move to Premier Division Aston Villa this summer after a ‘compensation package’ was agreed with Torquay United.

The 16-year-old, from Constantine, will put pen to paper on a two-year scholarship on July 5, before he turns professional in 2015 after agreeing a one-year contract.

It is rare for players of this age to be offered pro terms so soon, but Villa officials have been so impressed they were keen to tie the young Cornishman down, with several other top flight clubs keen to sign him.

Prynn, who goes to Penryn Sportsicon1.png College, was in the West Midlands with his family at the weekend to discuss his move to Villa Park after the Villains reached a financial agreement with League Two Torquay, the club the teenager has been at since the age of 13.

Doesn't seem as strong as recent years... especially considering they're all so young, Missing key players in Samir Carruthers,Graham Burke,Mikey Drennan,Callum Robinson,Jordan Graham,Khalid Abdo and even Danny Crowley.

agree with you there, this is the weakest soccer sevens side i've ever seen.... will be good to see how the kids go, but they really are kids this year.... your brother should get a lot more playing time this year, and will be one that people are watching to light the tournament up....

will let you know how he's looking from the grandstand... (if he needs anything while he's in HK, get him to drop me an email... have looked after many of the kids out here over the years...)

interesting look to the tournament - you will note that there is not nearly the depth of international teams as last year... i understand the tournament lost its government funding this year, which is why only man city, villa and sunderland are there from the premier league...

people not there from last year include chelsea, newcastle, west ham, celtic, ajax, and a top japanese and australian team.... the downside for this is that the hong kong top domestic league has a lot more teams in there, which means that instead of exciting young up and coming players, you have older, physically stronger men playing, who may well be looking to kick chunks out of the premier league players.... lets wait and see....

Seems Brad Watkins couldn't make the trip over for the Sevens due to illness so we've had to go over without a recognised keeper. Luckily we've been able to draft in local player, Jamie Devonshire from the Hong Kong Football Club as stand-in keeper for the tournament.

Interesting turn of events!

Rodigan, I know that it is an innocent quote, but the child in me just had to chuckle as it sounds like you are offering your services as pimp/drug dealer to the players.. Sorry
