The nukes in question were nuclear depth charges. Equivalent weapons are available for battlefield use. There are howitzer shells the same and ground to ground battlefield missiles. They pack, obviously, a bigger punch than a HE warhead, but they are tactical. I suppose you could theoretically drop a depth charge into a reservoir, but that’s not what they were designed to be used for and training was all for ASW. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
