Russia and its “Special Operation” in Ukraine

There is a very interesting UK channel run by a guy called Ryan McBeth.  He is ex US Army where he specialised in artillery.

Right from the start of this conflict he was saying the artillery pieces only have a limited time before the barrel needs total refurbishment.  If it’s not, the gun becomes increasingly inaccurate and liable to catastrophic failure.  The bigger the gun, the more catastrophic the failure.  He estimates that the majority of Russia’s artillery is now well past that point with no possibility of refurbishing more than a few at a time.

Let’s hope we see more and more Russian weapons self destruct due to poor maintenance.

They've started issuing 70 year old WW2 artillery to the mobilised

I get what you're indicating and think Ukraine will definitely go for a surprise advance again. I think they'll advance on Melitopol before Mariupol though. Much more significant as far as cutting Russian logistical lines across the South and will be far easier to reinforce from Zaporizhzhia.

Ben Wallace jetting off to DC in a rush doesn’t bode well …

Russia are set to be re supplied with Iranian missiles apparently.

It’s going to be a tough winter for Ukraine if the infrastructure is dismantled in their cities.

How do you stop Iranian missiles getting into Russian hands? Or is that not possible?

Iran is days /weeks away from regime change so maybe long term it’s possible

They'd need pilot training first surely

Biden announced an amount of money for "pilot training" a few months ago.  Who knows what they were trained on.  It could have been basic pilot training for cargo shipments or  for experienced MIG pilots to move across to F16?

F16 is the logical escalation to Iraq missiles.

Israel has offered their help so hopefully they will be installed before the missiles are delivered, might be too late though.

It does beg the question on Russia attacking the Ukraine from Russian soil if they have been pushed out of the Ukraine, will the Ukrainians attack Russia?

Ukraine have already been firing missiles into Belgorod daily for the last couple of weeks.

I think we’re unlikely to see F16s any time soon given the US won’t provide long range ATACAMS missiles for the MLRS they’ve given Ukraine.

Apparently the current air defence tech the Ukrainians have (including the modern Western stuff sent recently) doesn’t really work against ballistic missiles.

Problem is a single Patriot battery costs a billion dollars, and Ukraine is a big country. So let’s hope regime change in Iran does happen.

Lol. This dude is such a dick. Hopefully he gets slotted or caught by a missile explosion. Something tells me he'll be on the first dingy over the Dneiper well before it kicks off.

You think he's even in Kherson? He's probably safely ensconced somewhere in The Kremlin.
