What is rail seating?

Safe standing. Has a fold down seat, but also an above waist height bar in front of ya so you cant fall forward.

They got em at chelsea away if you’ve been. Perfect set up of you ask me.

Does that set up interfere with your view? Or will you not notice? Sorry if this has been discussed here already.

Well if your sitting down behind a row of people who are standing up then I guess you won't see anything.

It's designed for folks that want to stand really, of you want to sit then you're better off in a regular seat

So.... I do not claim to be ITK, however...

My work colleagues partner is some form of construction worker (I think he's a planner, but I'm not sure) - he was at VP recently and apparently the Holte is having the car park eaten into in order for the stand to be raised higher and have a casino built, although I suspect she got confused and meant the North stand. Corners are being filled in over time, and the plans for the stretch of building down towards the Witton Arms is for that to be rebuilt as a place for the players to warm up and then have a tunnel to take them into VP itself.

I doubt she's made this up, but take it as you wish.

"Apparently" is doing a lot of work there, Bot even a vague description of why the source might knew more than the tea lady.

Casino would be nice. Can meet and greet Ivan Toney and Tonali there next season

Just on this picture, I reckon the temporary wooden plywood things at the top of the scaffolding might be an entrance - but I can't quite figure out where they link to. It's not the corridor from the Doug Ellis boxes, as I think that's inside the corrugated grey bit that links it to the North Stand  - is it the Upper Ellis Concourse? I guess it's possible there could be a requirement for an additional fire exit with the increased number of hospitality places I suppose. Any thoughts?

Dunno but I'm certain that if they're making the first 10 rows of The North Stand corporate, they're going to filter them into the restaurants/bars without them needing to enter then mental concourses as they currently do, which to my mind requires some kind of side exit from the front of TNS.  Maybe this is what they're building and it may link to the new converted executive boxes GA+ lounge in The Witton Lane stand.

This is so crap. Putting in corporate stuff in an ancient stand that should be halfway to be demolished. And the rest of the plebs who use it will not get any additional improvements.

Indeed, having promised and published renders of a new stand. It does not match the language around scale of ambition.

Was thinking it could just be a way of getting materials in and out of the boxes and then be a window once completed. It’s above the away fans entrance so not sure how that would work with homes fans entering / exiting that area 🤷🏻

But they will as the current facilities will be upgraded and also crucially less fans will be using the same concourses taking a huge amount of pressure off them.

That makes a fair bit of sense I think, might make a visit at some point in the next couple of weeks to collect the four footballs I got with my Reward points (it was all they had) and see how it's getting on.
