Oh, yes please. Nothing will tell the country "vote for us" like a mad panic to get rid of the bloke who made the call to do so.

What would ousting Sunak achieve exactly? They really have lost complete sight of what their jobs are.

July 4th could get the bounce from England doing well in the euros.

Hinging your electoral fate on England doing well in an international tournament is a... bold move

While a no confidence vote in Sunak would be entertaining, what would it achieve? All they're doing is making themselves look worse and delaying the inevitable. Just get the thing over with already

They're probably thinking England have a better chance than they do, which tells you all you need to know.

Just as I thought

Although, it wouldn't actually, would it? Unless they can have the vote in the next hour or two, if he's had the meeting with the King and dissolved parliament, that's that. They can still oust him, but there's no undoing the election call

Just makes them all look like tits, which might be a fitting way to see in the election phase.

If her annouces a GE later today, I'd expect most of what he says to be drowned out be celebrations

A bit woke with the pronouns there @bickster. Not sure Sunak is going to appreciate it.

indeed.

Having a general election campaign with a currently undecided new leader would.... absolutely kill the Tory party for good. :D

A fitting end

OK, I'll sit in the naughty shed if you want :D

How did you know what Mrs Sidcow calls the shed right at the bottom of the garden....in that secluded spot no one can see?
