Tory on sky news reckons the result shows "there's no love for Keir Starmer" and "it's all to play for at the general election". Does he realise they lost an 11K majority? 😂

If the tories are no good and the market for them has gone we should just close them down and get rid of them.

bye bye, thieving words removed.

I wonder if we could get them labelled as a terrorist organisation?

Does this mean we need to find a new profanity filter?

Definitely seems harsh on Gen Kitchen, who seems pretty pleasant overall.

Not to be confused with General Kitchener, obviously.

To be fair to the tories, putting up the girlfriend of a sex pest as the alternative to a sex pest looked like a really good strategy.

Who knew the girlfriend / tory / sex pest combo could be such a vote loser.

They are screwed aren't they. Sunak is losing votes to the right to reform and to the left from labour and greens, and the moderate tory vote to the libdems. What a shame.

It's the same story as every long empowered party, just on turbo because this Tory party is riddled with particularly cynical words removed. They get into scandals, they feather their nests, they feast beyond their rights, and eventually it catches up. When it does the momentum goes, the media flips, and there's nothing he can do. Sunak could turn into super Jesus who shits gold and pisses cancer cures tomorrow, he loses still.

When it comes to an election they'll still get a worryingly high number of seats on the basis of their record they should be at 0, because we do love a Tory in the UK.

Nothing yet from Rishi or the Tories about another humiliation?

He's done the expected response - any vote for anyone but the Conservatives gets you Starmer, and the turnout was dire.

That's because they're all sharpening their knives for a Julius Caesar moment and Sunak has decided to follow jolly old Johnson's example and hide in a fridge.

The Party know they've lost all the behind scenes manoeuvring is about who replaces him when he eventually resigns after the inevitable defeat. If there's one thing they party are fairly united on, it's that replacing him before the election won't help (apart from the odd dimwit). Trouble is, none of them can guarantee they'll have a seat any more

According to JRM Labours prospects aren’t good for the general election… what does that make Conservative prospects then?

Can you imagine the type of person who watches that clip and nods along in agreement?

It is somewhat worrying that so many people still voted Conservative or Remain.
