kurtsimonw Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Quite surprised to find it's been 16 years since the US last won it.
mikeyp102 Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 (edited) I find some of the comments on the bbc site about this hilarious.. One said this tournament could be as big as the men's tournament.. It then proceded to say the highest woman's earner could be up up to £200k a yr, C Ronaldo wouldn't get out of bed for that. As someone mentioned in another thread bbc are really trying to push the tournament beyond it's worth... Edited June 6, 2015 by mikeyp102
flamingsombrero Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Had a free bet about to expire so thrown it on the opener. Pretty surprised at how poor the standard is so far to be honest but don't know anything so maybe they're just two of the worse teams. Bullshit astro turf can't be helping matters either.
Zatman Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 the astro turf is bollocks. No way would the men be forced to play a World Cup on it. Moscow had to put a grass pitch in for champions league final 1

flamingsombrero Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Well the hosts getting dodgy as **** decisions going their way is certainly the same.
JamieZ Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Wait, they're playing on artificial turf? Meanwhile, there's an article on BBC that says FIFA hopes the Women's World Cup can help "restore football's credibility". "They're you go, ladies. Have fun blowing out your pretty little ACLs playing on plastic."
rjenkins Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 On a more positive note... Netherlands vs New Zealand has been much better than the opening game.
JamieZ Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 On a more positive note... Netherlands vs New Zealand has been much better than the opening game. Totally. Cracking goal from Netherlands.
Davkaus Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Thailand have been pretty dreadful, some good moves from the Norwegians though.
Zatman Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 just like he Champions League you will see the weaker teams being noticed earlier.
Dr_Pangloss Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 It's no hyperbole to say that I've seen better quality in a Festival League game.
TrinityRoadSteps Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 It's no hyperbole to say that I've seen better quality in a Festival League game. In a festival league game most of the players will have bigger bewbs than this lot
JamieZ Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 If not for suspect finishing, Germany could be up 3-0 on Ivory Coast in the 8th minute.
JamieZ Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Germany are running through Ivory Coast like they're not even there. This match is going to be a bloodbath.
