villa89
I'd be shocked if we spent £18m on a defender so I think that's a nonsense "rumour". Adebayor looks like he's on his way to West Ham. Makes sense, he wouldn't have to leave 'Landan. Edited August 24, 2015 by villa89
ender4
Earlier in the summer we had a huge week. This , for me, is another hugely important week in the future of this club As you are aware I was right behind you on that but am not going to get excited about your post this time around as I believe you are saying it for a different reason. This reason being that we NEED to sign a couple of decent, proven prem players but may not get it done! Right? Wrong? Talk to me... If we don't sign anyone else this window, i still think we've got a decentish team that will click after another 10 games and finish this season around 13-14th without fighting relegation all season. Marley the Bognor Villan
We needed players then, for slightly different reasons , we need players now Great, thanks for that
lexicon
Abdennour seems like a long shot, given the price tag and the other clubs he has been linked to (not Newcastle obviously). Looks to be very fast for a CB, strong too. Edited August 24, 2015 by lexicon
Marley the Bognor Villan
Interesting comments from Tim: On transfer window business to come… I wouldn't have thought we will be doing too much. The chairman has backed us and brought in a lot of new players. It was needed - we needed change. If there's anything that can improve us, we will be in the market. useless
That Harj guy on twitter retweeted the story from the paper about Abdennour. Whether that means he thinks there's some truth to it I'm not sure.

Wouldn't read too much into what Tim Says to the media, I don't think we have much left and it's possible we will be looking at the loan market. Manager's always play it close to their chest until a signing is imminent. I know that they aren't the same people but look at Moaninho saying the transfer window for Chelsea was over, that was it shut. Since then he's signed two players, one of whom he stole for manure and is still making bids for Stones and looking to sign others

I agree the loan market is where we will be looking now as a quick fix while the new guys settle in. Lescott could still be a transfer though due to the low fee. I tend to agree, but in saying that would you have thought we would have brought in the 10 players we have already? I wouldn't say never at this stage.
