Sheep then I assume?

Yep, the nine countries in the world where the population of sheep is greater than the population of humans. Wales and Scotland would be on the list were they independent countries

Interesting re Uruguay and Namibia (?), didn't know they were so sheep-heavy. Looking it up, and Uruguay *also* has (far) more cattle than people, along with New Zealand, Australia, Argentina and Brazil.

Namibia is pretty borderline, sheep only just outnumber humans

Capital City > n% (say 20%?) of population overall?

Quick question for anyone:

Which country has the highest proportion of its population in its capital?

(Excluded as possible answers here are city states with 100% of their populations in their capitals, so no Hong Kong, Singapore, Macau, Vatican City or Monaco, and also no microstates, semi-independent countries or Pacific islands)

EDIT: and how about the lowest proportion, with the same qualifiers?

Kuwait City. Over 70% of the population live there.

A run down.

Many countries, like the US and China, have huge populations spread out over a vast area in dozens or hundreds of cities and towns. But in some parts of the world, the big city dominates.

Wiki already did that

List of national capitals by population

Just order them in ascending order from the last column

34.7% according to wiki

Regardless Doha is in the 90%+ bracket

Wiki I think is wrong. Unsure where its pulling it from but other sources say population of KC is a lot higher than 35%, but Doha seems like a winner too.

City populations are always hard to measure. In this case, I think 'Tokyo' is being very widely defined as a region rather than a city.

yeah, just googled for comparison - Greater London is 606 square miles, the Greater Tokyo Area 37m refers to is 5200 square miles.

This often comes up in the Chinese context; when people Google 'biggest cities in China' they are often astonished at the population of Chongqing, but again it's a region rather than a city.

population density is what always surprises me, areas of Paris are absolutely ridiculous considering it’s almost a 3-storey city.
