CarewsEyebrowDesigner Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Tonight I'm OK with Monday Night Football. Hope Manure lose but they have stumbled onto a winning formula recently.
KAZZAM Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 United looking suspect with this 3 at the back today.
OutByEaster? Posted December 8, 2014 Moderator Posted December 8, 2014 Oh dear. Another United injury, Smalling this time.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 (edited) Ashley Young. Get ball. Cut inside. Over hit cross. Remember when he was good? (He'll go and score a screamer now) Edited December 8, 2014 by CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Genie Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 United looking suspect with this 3 at the back today. Has anyone ever made that work long term? Apart from the odd game? No idea why top clubs try it, always go back to 4 at the back.

CarewsEyebrowDesigner Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 It can work but when the opposition press high up the pitch (as Southampton are) you end up with 5 or 6 players behind the ball and no option but to hoof it. Hoofing it can work when you have Robben up front, not so much when you have Rooney, Mata and Van Persie. For all their quality, there isn't a lot of pace between them. Falcao would make a huge difference if he stayed fit.
villa4europe Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 This is for who goes 3rd... The standard of football from both teams is really poor
KAZZAM Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Southampton should be out of sight by now United been awful.
OutByEaster? Posted December 8, 2014 Moderator Posted December 8, 2014 Very lucky to win that Utd. Southampton were the better side throughout. I don't think there's currently a side in the Premier league that are good enough for 3rd. We should have Chelsea, Man City and then give the next team 5th. 2
VillaChris Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Incredible how United have won this...and Arsenal...and even Stoke with that last minute clearence off the line. I suppose they're getting that luck that deserted them at the start of the season.
