Which is why I think we should keep the yellow lion and flip the claret/blue from the classic badge. It stops the badge being lost on the home shirt too. It’s a bit too perfect, it’s similar to the Man City badge and looks a bit generic and dull. Oh hi! I really like it mate. Personally didn’t think it was washed out (that was someone else’s opinion), I like the shades. A big thing for me is that claret should lean more toward red rather than purple, I can’t stand purple! Claret is a shade of darker red imo and has nothing to do with purple. We should always have the most vibrant badge and colours of any c&b team too. Purple shade is so “West Ham” and just basic dark “claret” and blue is so basic and dull. We need that gold/yellow too… differentiates us even more. Totally agree with your second paragraph there. I would just suggest removing f.c. from the top line as it’s too cramped and replacing prepared with it. If sticking with prepared, same font or smaller. Could even have Aston at the top and Villa at the bottom. Would love to see any alterations you make. Would be almost devastated if we went down that kind of route but confident we won’t. Despise these overly modernised or commercialised designs. It’s just a flipping J for crying out loud. Jas10 Posted June 26, 2022 Share Posted June 26, 2022 More and more convinced that the lion needs to be gold… to stand out… A claret shirt with claret lion… it will look so plain and almost unnoticeable… Also, our badge doesn’t really stand out that much when lined up against all the other PL clubs’. As many have mentioned, light blue behind a yellow lion is too washed out. It's not "just a J" It's a J, it's stripes, it's the club colours and it's a shield... all from just two lines. It's brilliant.
