    This always winds me up tbh. I think it’s because there was a season a few years back (potentially 2011/12)where we seemed to change the home kit combo every other week for no apparent reason. Made it look like they were scraping together a clean set of kit each game! also look how young Jack is there!

    I hadn’t noticed the badge and now can’t unsee it. You’re absolutely right it makes no sense. Also in my eyes it looks cheap and poorly thought out partly because there’s no detail or trimming on the collar or sleeve cuffs. It’s like the zero effort kits that Chelsea and Tottenham get from Nike.

    If it’s any consolation, next time you get annoyed by our sponsor just remember some poor fans have to wear this. Completely ruins an otherwise nice shirt.

    Just thought I’d share this, I always find it interesting what Trabzonspor do with their kits, especially having three in home colours every year. People always say you can’t do much with claret and blue…

    Sawiris is adidas’s largest individual shareholder with about 6% of their shares, so I think it’s far more likely we move to them as out kit manufacturer.

    Can somebody with photoshop replace the BK8 sponsor with Cazoo and delete the claret piping where the sleeve meets the shoulder? I’m certain those two things alone are 90% of what’s making it look crap.

    My understanding is that the lower tiers will join together, but the upper tiers remains separated. Meaning it’s still visually a standalone end.

    I asked for something very similar with regard to wrought iron, stained glass and mosaics incorporated into a modern design. Also mentioned it would be nice to bring back some of the details and intricacies lost with the old trinity road stand. In my opinion there should also be more tributes/statues around the place. Bare minimum is a Ron Saunders statue.

    Agreed, I think the recent liverpool kits look great. I’m keen on simple shirt designs (such as the Luke promotion kits) and I think they look best with a simple badge. Such as:

    That looks ace! Can you see what it looks like with the star below the Lion? Maybe just me but the star being where it is fools the eye into not seeing an A. I’d also increase the scale of it. Nothing wrong with having big badges, no reason why the lion can’t be the height of the current crest overall IMO.

    Yeah that’s pretty polished isn’t it. I’d like to see the star in front of the lion, along the centre line between the 18+74. Being pretty picky at this point but it would look less random.

    Totally agree about the font mate. It’s a bit too perfect, it’s similar to the Man City badge and looks a bit generic and dull. I like the idea of having a font slightly more traditional, something with a hint of the Villa park gate etc. history and tradition is something we have in spades and most of us are rightly proud of it.

    Appreciate the comment mate, this was my design! Washed out because I used Paint.net A big part of the rebrand is to improve the visibility of the badge on digital media. Which is why I think we should keep the yellow lion and flip the claret/blue from the classic badge. It stops the badge being lost on the home shirt too. I wasn’t sure about prepared either, but I figured it’s traditional and at least we can say the club is in good hands now with people who have long term vision. what I’d really love to see is us having something like this as a club crest, but play with just a lion on the shirt, similar to Liverpool’s badge which I think looks brilliant.

    Hi guys, i'm a life long villa fan, parents from hall green. I'm 21 and studying at uni in Bristol. Hopefully ill get some free weekends next year to see more matches than this season
