  1. I was impressed by him last season. This season I am genuinely asking myself - is he an upgrade on Hause?
  2. One of the frustrating parts is the timing of the mistakes. You should never concede just after scoring and just before half time. While the mistake for their first was more obvious and in many ways worse, the choice to dribble in midfield with 30 seconds before the whistle is even more baffling to me. There was absolutely nothing to be gained and everything to lose from that. Hope this is part of the learning curve for him because on every other occasion he's been outstanding for us.
  3. Although this isn't false, it must be said that Bouba had at least two chances to either clear the ball or pass it to the left. He still gets the largest part of the blame for that.
  4. The word that comes to mind is unprofessional. It's "only Leicester" so we relax and **** around with ball. Just like we did against Stevenage. And what frustrates me the most is the stupidity, with 30 seconds left on the clock, to try to dribble past players in midfield. Kamara has been brilliant up to today, but this has to be one of the worst individual performances we've seen in a while.
  5. Really hope he improves because his defending has been very dodgy...
  6. He either smashes it in the top bin or completely fluffs his lines, no middle ground
  7. The vision to play that ball, with that accuracy to Kamara, setting up the counter was glorious. Most players would have either hoofed it blindly or passed it short. Quality
  8. While he may be no world beater, based on what I've seen he's definitely good enough to be involved a lot more than he has been, especially considering the utter tripe our midfield has been delivering until not so long ago. I genuinely believe that in several games we would've been much better off bringing him on rather than pretending he doesn't exist.
  9. He can look world class at times, and at other times like he hardly is a professional football player. Shame it's not a 50/50 ratio, but rather a 20/80 (am I being generous?). And at that point it just isn't worth it. People saying Traore is better - he isn't. But at the same time, he also isn't as bad, if that makes any sense. Not sure weather, on average, who I'd pick.
  10. Brad Guzan on a bad day was better than this guy
  11. To be fair, in terms of the position Dendoncker plays, we do have clear starters. Other positions are more problematic as Gerrard decided that wingers are an obsolete concept. Give Unai a couple of transfer windows and I'm sure we'll look a lot better and a lot more stable and settled.
  12. That's where he played for good parts of the 2 half
  13. It didn't work under Smith's falling reign and Gerrard's inept reign. We now have a top manager. That's not saying that they WILL work, but their failure in the past doesn't prove that Unai cannot find the right formula to fit them both.
  14. We did enough to win it, regardless how poor we were in the first time. Cash should no longer be allowed to cross. Ever. I don't even have the strength to comment on Bailey.
  15. Was brilliant last season, has been the exact opposite this season and doesn't look like an improvement on Hause
  16. And that's virtually the only games he's really contributed to anything, because if he isn't scoring or assisting it very much feels like playing with 10 men. Great on paper, but on the grass he's been as effective as el Ghazi if not less. Hope Unai can get a tune out of him
  17. The fact that it's a theme has nothing to do with me. "I want to like Mings " is not incompatible with "I actually do like Mings because he brings a lot to the team, but there are some patterns in his game which are particularly frustrating which make him a bit harder to like at times" You may notice I also specifically said he isn't crap. And yet your first reaction was to accuse me of having an agenda (whatever that means) against him. Which I very well may not have even if I didn't like or rate him.
  18. Oh I'm sorry, I think he made a mistake, I point that out and I'm supposed to have an agenda? Even though I defend Mings a lot more than I criticise me? You don't even know my stance on him, but from a single post you have established I have an agenda. "Unbelievable"
  19. I really want to like Mings but the way he needlessly came out for the first goal, leaving a hughe gap behind him is the reason people say he's crap. Which he isn't, because he also offers great performances, but such silly, needless mistakes are the reason he's in Dubai and not in Doha.
  20. It was 6 goals, but one was against the Liverpool kids and one was against bottom of the league Norwich squad players on painkillers
  21. Is it a step up though? Sure, the club is bigger and the salary may be higher, but at that stage in his career the championship offers a much better foundation to build on and eventually become a premier League manager, whereby you have to compete for every game. The Scottish League is a farmers league where you can learn very little, you will dominate nearly every game and find it hard to apply the skillset you have acquired there to the premier league. Also quitting like this after his comments on loyalty may make potential employers weary, hardly come across as a trustworthy bloke.
  22. At least Nyland was good with his feet
  23. Regardless of individual performances, we conceded twice (could have been more) when we were one goal ahead due to a ridiculous high defensive line which was getting destroyed. That had to be addressed at once. It wasn't and we conceded again. We can blame Olsen all we like (and he's worse than Nyland as far as I'm concerned), but the problems started before he could display his inadequacy. I hope Emery realises that straight away and we don't have to witness such masochism again.
  24. Can we NOT play with such a high line when we're leading at old Trafford?
