  1. He's already understood Bamford is a word removed. Great signs of adaptation!
  2. The main difference is that Luiz is an established premier league player who is good enough to play and arguably to start (as an regularly and if he gives his best I wouldn't have issues with him playing (Kessie left AC Milan on a free but was instrumental to them winning the league, for example). Chuk has shown nothing, we have invested in him and he's given us sod all in return, as it stands he is nowhere near good enough to feature regularly for us, and his head appears to be just as inflated metaphorically as it does actually.
  3. If he isn't willing to commit to us, we have no reason to commit to him. If he thinks he's better than us, he's welcome to prove it. If he does, he's welcome to play and run down his contract, as long as his performances warrant it. So far he has shown nothing other than potential. And if we can't benefit from that potential, there is absolutely no reason to invest in it.
  4. The Marseille fans are complaining though I like Luiz, even though he was underwhelming this season, but it doesn't seem likely that he will sign a new contract. Weather he leaves this year or next year he will still need to be replaced, so it would make more sense to cash in on him now and have more funds for his replacement. I'd be disappointed to lose him on a free
  5. Keep him in the squad alongside 2 other strikers and see what he can do. If he doesn't get enough game time we can loan him once again in January, depending on how the season is going maybe even to a premier League club fighting for relegation
  6. I don't buy this. Targett was brilliant last season (or is it 2 seasons ago already?) Even when Grealish was injured. He still was our best and most consistent player (maybe alongside Konsa) and had bloody El Ghazi playing in front of him
  7. I think Ben Mee is six fingered
  8. But didn't the same thing happen early on in the season, where we allowed him to prioritise country over club? I'm irritated by this. A player's priority should lie, first and foremost, with the club that's paying his wages. Maybe that's just me having very weak patriotic inclinations, but I feel it should go without saying.
  9. That wouldn't make much sense given it's his last year. We'll either sell him or keep him until his contract runs out. I doubt he'll be on massive wages, so loaning him out really wouldn't benefit us, I'd rather have him in the squad
  10. Doesn't feel like a downgrade from Konsa, on this season's form I'd say quite the opposite
  11. People aren't annoyed at his performance. People are annoyed at his attitude to the contract renewal, and even more so in light of his performance.
  12. He was vital in us staying up as well in our first season. Just like people say Trez's goals against palace and Arsenal kept us us, Condor's goals against Norwich and Newcastle kept us up just as much. Plus all the goals he set up from set pieces. Great servant to the club, no matter his limitations, I will always remember him very fondly
  13. Last season he was very good also when grealish was injured so I doubt that was the issue with his drop in performances
  14. His sole purpose is to score goals and yet he has the highest number of assists for us this season. I won't deny his finishing was poor and let us down tonight, but I feel you are missing a big part of what Danny Ings brings to a team other than goals.
  15. It's not just his goals though, his all-round game is nowhere to be seen.
  16. How does that disprove anything of what I just said?
  17. I'd rather have Scott Hogan than Watkins. Ok, no, I wouldn't. But he really needs to super his game up. His all-round game which was so good last season has vanished
  18. But it's one thing if you do it when you have cover behind you, if that opens a chance for a counterattack, ecc. Today it was completely needless and extremely risky.
  19. He was a fool to get himself in that position in the first place. You don't try to dribble past players if you've got acres of the pitch behind you. There was nothing to be gained and everything to be lost from that attempt at dribbling past them.
  20. It looked to me like it was more Ming's getting it wrong, he was marking him but let him get too far away from him and Yarmolenko had the time and space to shoot. Great finish to be fair, he could try that 10 more times and not pull it off...
  21. With 5 goals and 4 assists he's the player with the highest number of goal contributions, followed by Watkins with 7 goals and 1 assist. Not bad considering the limited amount of game time
  22. Last season one of his most impressive traits was his hold up play. That has completely vanished this season... They way we keep lumping it up at him we might as well bring back big Keinan... (I'm being mostly sarcastic and very, very slightly half-serious)
