I'd say a centre back is more important. What happens when Konsa or Mings are injured/suspended? Hause isn't good enough and Engels isn't being considered. Ideally we need a CB, LB and another forward. If we get one of those I think we will have done well.

But there is a credible source, TrentVilla wrote in this thread before the deal happened that it was very likely and Chelsea would be subsiding his wages. Seems to me he was spot on. The media/twitter nobodies are just guessing at the numbers.

We could do with him to give us options. Currently we have a good first 10 players (bad left back) and that's it. If we did sign Benramha (and I don't think we will) then he would allow us to use Jack as a winger or central midfielder if there was an injury to anyone in the first XI. If you look at our bench against liverpool (assuming Traoré starts) you'll see how weak it is.

Agreed. It's like they have never watched Hourihane, Lansbury or Nakamba play. Barkley is streets ahead of those three players.

Its seems as though they are committed to the project as it would be easy with covid and income dropping to restrict investment in the squad. We have outspent most teams in the league. Can't complain about that.

I don't to be honest and not just because I dont like cabbage. A blind dog knows the handball rule is a joke, the problem is the nobody said anything when the rule change was proposed. It was clear then it didn't make sense. Why didnt anyone speak up during the consultation phase?

Any opposition team will "targett" him as a weak point. God help him versus liverpool on Sunday. We were robbed paying £17m for him and he needs replacing.
