  1. Overall, it's good and I'm enjoying it. The combat is solid, the variety of builds and classes is pretty extensive and the world is impressive. But...it has issues which for me stop it from being truly top drawer. 1. The level design can be overly complex which leads to easily losing your way and struggling to discover where to go next. 2. The checkpoints are simply too far apart, sometimes ridiculously so. I've had situations where I've just about made it through a particular tough section and then immediately been bombarded with another set of difficult mobs with not so much as a breather, nevermind a checkpoint/rest area. It can be really frustrating. 3. Mob density and placement is OTT difficult. You are often faced with 2 or 3 tough enemies, a couple of standard mobs and ranged enemies who can hit you from across the map all at once. It gives you very little time to enjoy the world and sometimes you just have to say **** it and run. I also think every single mob has way too big a health pool. This is where games like DS1/DS3/Bloodborne and Lies of P got it bang on. You had space to breath. 4. Not really a criticism but the bosses I've faced have been very easy. I've killed 4 and so far not a single death. Compare to dying to gravity and gank mobs and its night and day. As I said though, I've been playing it alot and I'm enjoying it 90 percent of the time. I'm definitely gonna try and platinum it and I dare say will play through more than once. I think you'll enjoy it
  2. As usual with anthology movies it's quite patchy, but it was worth a watch just for the final story written and directed by Scott Derickson (Sinister/Black Phone) which could easily have been made into a interesting full length movie.
  3. Yeah seem to be averaging out at around 7/10 which is still respectable I suppose. I played around an hour last night and first impressions are it's...fine. They throw a lot of info at you from the off and the Umbral system didn't click straight away for me. The combat seems solid enough though and the world looks very good. I'll have a better idea after I've caned a few hours over the weekend.
  4. Personally I would finish LoP first or just play it alongside. The final third of the game is the toughest but its got some really **** cool areas and bosses. Also, when you kill the swamp bitch you get access to probably the best weapon in the game...
  5. I might stay up and have an hour on it at midnight tonight.
  6. I liked Curtis. A good defender in his pomp and always came across as a decent chap.
  7. Definitely this ^^^ Anyone putting butter on a bacon or sausage sandwich need to give their head a wobble
  8. I would love it, LOVE IT...If you shut your **** gob Kevin.
  9. Really excited for this one. I was one of the few people who enjoyed the 2014 original which although it had plenty of issues, I still found to be a solid enough experience. This updated soft reboot looks to be on a whole new level though, and I've already pre-ordered the deluxe edition on PS5 ready for Friday. Trailer and gameplay videos:
  10. 1-2 A nice away win and another minding of the gap for our local Dingle simpletons.
  11. It actually managed to be even worse than I feared Lee. I should have stuck to my guns and not gone to see it. The only decent movie DG Green has made is Halloween 2018 which I thought was really **** good. But that turned out to be one of the falsest of dawns in cinematic history. He's a hack and I hope he never gets his mitts on another beloved horror franchise. I'm going to try and erase it from my memory now. All you need is the original and part 3 and you're all set.
  12. After it being on the list for awhile I finally got around to the first three seasons of Top Boy. It's kind of superb isn't it? Think I'll pace myself on s4 and s5 as I really don't want it to end.
  13. I always love how people's playthroughs of these types of games differ. You defeated the Archbishop in a few goes and he took me about 30 tries and grinding some levels, and yet I killed King of Puppets on my first go Best thing I can suggest is a full load of throwables, but save them until you have him down to around 50/60 percent on his second stage (i used this method on quite a few of the latter bosses). Also, get the cube buff that heals the Spectre as having them for the second phase is (literally) a life saver. Don't give up skeleton!
  14. Yeah I'd read there was one so I stayed to watch it.
  15. Finished Lies of P. Definitely going to be in my top five games of the year and I'll more than likely return to Platinum it at some point. Now to wait for the reboot of Lords of the Fallen which drops this month.
  16. Chapter 11. I'm on the final boss now but I'm logging off until later. Still hopeful of wrapping up today
  17. I'm on the last two bosses. Hopefully finish today.
