  1. Enjoyed all of these immensely. All on PS5: Lies of P Remnant 2 Resident Evil 4 Remake Dredge Robocop: rogue city Dead Island 2 Lost Eidolons Wo Long Fallen Dynasty But for me the absolute best experience (even though a nasty piece of work created the world its set in) was Hogwarts Legacy. A sublime game which I enjoyed pretty much every second of.
  2. I love Wes, but I really, really didn't like Asteroid City at all. Biggest movie disappointment of the year.

  4. Yeah, they've come a long way since I saw them for a fiver in Brum many years ago Still love a bit of Tobias and the Nameless Ghouls.
  5. It's that time of year to share your favourite movies of 2023. UK release date of 2023 on IMDB preferable thanks. My top 20 below, with Killers of the Flower Moon coming out on top with When Evil Lurks a close second. A very solid year Top Left to Bottom Right: Dungeons and Dragons Killers of the Flower Moon Suitable Flesh Spider Man Across the SpiderVerse The Blackening Thanksgiving John Wick 4 Past Lives Air When Evil Lurks Saltburn Talk to Me Are You There God? It’s me Margaret Hell House LLC: Origins Broker Influencer Knock at the Cabin Saw X Evil Dead Rise The Royal Hotel
  6. Deep Red, Bird with the Crystal Plumage and Death walks on High Heels are some I've enjoyed that aren't on your list. From a more contemporary view, there's some very good Giallo homages like Berberian Sound Studio and The Last Matinee. **Edit** Fulcis House by the Cemetary, The Beyond and Don't Torture a Duckling are good watches too.
  7. Went to see this tonight: Definitely going to be in my films of the year list. Very good psychological drama with yet another cracking performance from the mercurial Barry Keoghan. Two in a row from Writer/Director Emerald Fennel after the excellent Promising Young Woman.
  8. Mostly Robocop Rogue City on the PS5 at the moment. It's a very good game, and if you're a fan of the OG movies then it very quickly becomes a **** glorious game. They absolutely nail being Robocop.
  9. No, im in the same boat. it's a good game and I'm glad I finished it, but it still has some big issues (even after multiple patches) which would put me off further playthroughs. Nowhere near the level of Lies of P in terms of pure quality and polish (or as you say the Soulsborne series).
  10. Well, according to the excellent documentary Bubba Ho Tep, JFK is now a black man living in a retirement home in Texas along with Elvis Presley (real name Sebastian) where they spend their time trying to save the other residents from an evil Mummy. Got to be some truth in there somewhere.
  11. Just watched the first episode. Quite surprised its passed me by as it's very much my kinda thing. Very good start
  12. Loved it. I think it's Roths best movie by far.
  13. Finished Daisy Jones and the Six and Swarm (both on Amazon) Daisy Jones was what I expected story wise but elevated by some absolutely terrific performances (Sam Claflin is so bloody versatile, definitely one of our best actors at the moment). Nice easy watch and they landed the ending which is always a bonus. Swarm was just fantastic - That Donald Glover is a a talented bugger isn't he? satirical, jet black drama at it's best and Dominique Fishback's central performance is what makes it all work. Also nearly finished Normal People (on iPlayer) - Very good indeed, can see why Paul Mescal is being spoken about so highly. Started Snowfall. First couple of episodes were promising and I like the dual storylines and the characters.
  14. Especially if she was wearing a see through top.
  15. Tickets booked for tomorrow. Looking forward to it. Amazing that it took him (Roth) this long to make it after the 'fake' Grindhouse trailer all those years ago
  16. Tickets booked for Thanksgiving and Saltburn this week. Two very different movies, but both looking worth the watch.
  17. That was my lingering thought after watching it. I thought it was OK, and thought Fassbender did well with very little dialogue, but I thought it was a total waste of Fincher's talent.
  18. Yeah, that and No Hard Feelings were my two 'surprisingly good' comedies this year.
  19. Who rattled your **** cage you **** word removed.
  20. Very good indeed. On Disney Plus and well worth a watch
