  1. All midfielders that didn't work out.
  2. Do we think it would be beneficial to Keinan Davis to send him out on loan for a full season if we sign another striker? Wesley, Kodjia and a new striker would be more than adequate. I actually think Davis would do very well in the PL this season, however he needs game time to start banging in goals regularly. He's been very impressive in pre-season.
  3. Lets not get ahead of ourselves. In the summer of 2015 there was genuine excitement after the transfer window. Numerous players came in and for the most part we were excited by them. We were relegated with our lowest points tally ever. I'm not saying it's going to happen this time around, I think for a change we've got it right this year, but lets see where we are by Christmas before we go patting ourselves on the back.
  4. Happy with this one, think he could be some player. However... A 5 year deal, I hope he doesn't turn out like Sylla or Salifou or Makoun or Bradley or Holman or Dawkins or Djemba Djemba or Berson Christ we have signed some dross in recent years.
  5. Green, Luiz & Davis won't count in the squad as they are all classed as U21.
  6. I was at the Walsall game and I think Kalinic only touched the ball 5 times. He didn't have to make a single save (I don't think he even moved for the goal which was a good goal in fairness). I imagine he wants out and will leave next week for around 2-3 million.
  7. My current session for chest is: Bench Press - 4 Sets of 10 Reps Incline Press - 3 Sets of 12 Reps Cable Crossover - 3 Sets of 12 Reps Dumbell Chest Hammer Press - 3 Sets of 8 Reps Cable Crossover can be swapped out for Pec Fly or Chest Fly Dumbell Chest Hammer Press could be swapped out for Decline Press or a Machine Chest Press Again the best way to lose fat will be cardio at the end of every session as lifting weights will only increase muscle mass. I have the same problem as you with my chest, fat builds up on my chest and stomach first. Maybe even stick a dedicated cardio day in if you have time. I used to circuit 10-15 minutes of each cardio machine (row, run, cross trainer, bike), it's a killer but works.
  8. Diet sounds good to me, I wouldn't change it. If you want to get really picky with it then download MyFitnessPal and track your calories or macros, there are various videos on Youtube that show you how you can do this. It works but it can become an obsession and slight pain. I see you mentioned trouble with your back, personally I would take them out and just use Bent over Rows instead. Deadlifts are ideal for working your back, but not worth the risk. Look up some workout plans online and try to bring them in to mix up what you are currently doing, I find sometimes getting into the gym early on a Saturday or Sunday gives you a chance to try a few things out whilst its quiet. I use an app called FitNotes, build up a session (4 sessions each week hitting all body parts) and then track my progress in the app; it also helps remember what you did last time and the weight you lifted with an incentive to improve without sacrificing form. The key to losing weight unfortunately is cardio (it sounds as though your diet plan is pretty much on point), drop in 10-15 minutes cardio at the end of each session for a month or two and see what the results look like. Either run, row, incline walk or use the cross trainer.
  9. The order for me, bearing in mind who is on the pitch at any time: 1. Wesley 2. Kodjia 3. Hourihane 4. Grealish However there are possible shouts for Jota, Trezeguet, El Ghazi, McGinn or Luiz.
  10. Dan Bardell has mentioned this on the Villa View Podcast this morning. In for a striker, which if we pull off will be a massive signing. Maupay is plan B. Very exciting if true. However he obviously didn't give a name.
  11. Really happy with this one. It gives us a couple of years to bring in a young keeper for a realistic fee, I still think we will sign Butland but either when his contract is up or when Stoke lower the fee next Summer. The Burnley fans comments from http://www.uptheclarets.com/ are pleasing to read.
  12. Villa Report have mentioned Nakamba's medical for so many days now, they are clearly not as ITK as they claim.
  13. I think it's unlikely Hazard will sign for us after already signing for Real Madrid. However money talks and we have more of it than most clubs now... Oh wait...
  14. I have a feeling that our business will be done by Friday in terms of incoming players. This then leaves next week free to offload fringe players to teams panic buying and paying over the odds. It also gives us a week to find the best clubs available for players to leave for loans for a full season.

    Keinan Davis

Harsh, he put in a big shift today.
  16. Makes perfect sense to me, in the majority of games we will line up: Luiz McGinn Grealish If we are up against it, and the back line is under pressure we now have the option to play. Luiz Nakamba Grealish With injuries and bookings: Luiz - Nakamba McGinn - Hourihane or Lansbury Grealish - Hourihane or Lansbury or Jota No professional football team should be restricted on how they play with one injury. Last season we saw it multiple times where Grealish had no backup, Taylor had no backup, we had one fit centre back. The club are simply ensuring that we are never in this situation again. In terms of being a selling club, I don't think that's the route we will go down. However if a club bids a silly amount of money, we now have the option to accept and rebuild that position with a backup ready to go. The only player I currently wouldn't sell for any amount is Grealish.
  17. In our last PL game we fielded this team: Bunn Lyden Bacuna Lescott Toner Cissokho Westwood Sanchez Gueye Ayew Sinclair We are likely to field the below in our first game back in the PL: Steer Guilbert Engels Mings Targett Luiz McGinn Grealish Jota Wesley El Ghazi Not even a question if we have improved.
  18. McGinn only got back from international duty last week after running back to Birmingham from Scotland. Deserves a bit of a rest midweek.
  19. There has been no mention of a work permit being rejected.
