Fantastic story - I thought both books were equally brilliant. Took me a while to get into the second with the timeline shift, but absolutely brilliant overall. I tweeted Justin Cronin t'other day regarding the release date on Amazon for City of Mirrors (they have it as October this year) and he replied! Sadly it is not coming out in October, but if it's half as good as the first two, it will be more than worth the wait. I believe Ridley Scott purchased the film rights, before the first book even came out. It's gone a bit quiet on the film, last I heard Matt Reeves was directing it.

Have to agree, thought he did a decent enough job but the end product just wasn't that interesting really, had the same problem with pacific rim, unfortunately big things destroying other big things just ain't my bag. Cloverfield is where it's at when it comes to the 'huge monsters tear shit up' genre. Part of the problem with these kind of movies is - once you have seen the actual monster/s the rest kind of washes over you and it's hard to imagine it actually happening. Cloverfield did a great job of building towards the reveal and the 'found footage' style really set it apart. The crazy offshoot, babies/spiders also added to the tension/fear factor in a really cool way too (and were way more frightening)

Really ? - I think Wellbeck is totally useless He's more mobile than Bent He works harder than Bent He can play across the front 3 positions He is more skillful than Andi and Gabby Would be a definite upgrade on what we have, Benteke aside. He doesn't score goals and for a striker that's kinda the point isn't it. And he has a worst first touch than Jimmy Saville I'd say the point of any transfer is it improve on what you already have. He's better than what we have in that area and would improve the squad/team. On that basis it would be a good signing. The players who score lots of goals and have the touch of an angel will not come to AVFC at this moment in time. Players in need of a career 'reboot' might though.
