That's my thinking too unless it's jut more brazen profiteering. Just insane.

I'll be honest - I've absolutely buried my head in the sand over this. My supplier went bust so I've switched to Scottish Power. Until now I've been paying £97 p/m which has now jumped to £151. The best fixed tariff is £350 p/m! I assume sticking with the current variable is the best course of action? I'm lucky that my partner & I can cover the increase but it is genuinely horrifying thinking how many people are going to have choose between turning the lights on or having dinner.
  3. I think the we're drafting a QB rather than a free agent one. Been aggressive with the OL in free agency so it does looks like Willis or Pickett. That said, I look forward to seeing Darnold starting next season.
  4. Panthers spent some cash on a good guard and safety. That'll do. Left tackle and pass rusher next please!
  5. Dreadful game. At the start of Gerrard’s reign we found a way to win these sorts of games, it’s something that has deserted us over the past couple of months. Besides that, it was my first visit to the London Stadium today. I’ll never go back. “Soulless bowl” is chucked around a fair bit, but this is the absolute pinnacle of it. It was totally dead all game, not a patch on Upton Park.
  6. This is seeing some traction. We don't really have the trade capital for it, the depth of team isn't there so we'd likely have to trade away starters too. Also the guy is clearly a prick. No thanks.
  7. I think he could definitely play in the Ramsey role. Absolutely has the tenacity to play a little deeper, can carry the ball in the same way Ramsey does. It might be a touch risky to play him on Sunday at West Ham, but in a more favourable game it should happen.
  8. Finally got round to watching Her. It was glorious - Phoenix was just sensational. I couldn't believe the film was 9 years old, it hasn't aged at all & felt extremely current.
  9. Really sad about this one. I was relatively late to cricket - the ‘05 Ashes was when I fell in love with the sport. The Australian team and Warne & McGrath in particular had me just as gripped as Flintoff etc. Really is the greatest spinner of all time. Gutted.
  10. Shane Warne. That’s an absolute shocker. One of, if not, the greatest cricketers of all time.
  11. He lives locally & is the councillor. I honestly thought the result would be a little closer. Alden has a really solid reputation around here and is actually very useful.
  12. Yeah I’ve raided all the South American clubs, I think about four of my starters are from there. Just think it’s more of a save fatigue. This is the eighth season now, and I’ve just been bobbing around for the last three and it’s a bit tedious.
  13. Think I'm done with my Barrow save. Can't attract the players, can't win games. Just 7 points from my first 10 this year (however this is the first season where I'm only losing by one every game rather than 2, 3 or 4). Just worked out I've won just 15 games of 86 since I've been promoted. **** knows how I'm still in the league tbh, but it's just boring now.
  14. Stayed up by the skin of my teeth again! Only managed to win 6 games all year and couldn't stop drawing. 91st minute winner away at Villa to keep the boys up, heart was absolutely pounding as my striker went through on goal! I think this is the year I start to push on, I bought way too many young players last year and the inexperience/inconsistency killed me. Only need to buy 4ish players now, rather than 6-7 so I can spend larger chunks on each player.
  15. **** me, surely the best divisional round weekend ever. Every game to the last play. Saturday night's games weren't end-to-end like last night, but still all incredible. How the Bills managed to choke those final 13 seconds though. Why did they not make the Chiefs use some clock on the kick off? Touchback seemed like a weird decision. Post-season OT rules need changing btw. Bills need a chance to respond there, surely.
  16. Really poor round of games. Next week should deliver, some really good match ups due.
  17. Stayed up on goal difference. Big old slog that season. Gotta somehow try to stay up again with a tiny budget.
  18. Always nice to see the Patriots get battered. All the playoff NE fans in Britain will be disappearing for another year.
  19. Metropolitan Pulis. Following his sacking from Sheffield Wednesday, Tony finds a new job and discovers how hard it is for a Bobby on the beat on the streets of London.
  20. Just a low IQ individual I think. Had an “appropriate adult” with him despite being well over 18.
  21. Yep, really enjoyed it. Would've been improved had more of the team been involved rather than just Broad & Wright. You could tell Broad wished he'd never been involved. I'd totally forgotten the moment where Stanford had the WAGs on his knee mid-game. Absolutely incredible
