We should get around £20m easily from all the deadwood. Sanchez - £2.5, Veretout £3m, Amavi £7m, Richards £2m, Gil £3m etc. (Yes I've plucked those figures out my arse, but you get the point) £20m reinvested should easily be enough to get 3-4 good players and a couple of quality loans. Many more than that number of players and we're probably falling into the trap of changing too much anyway.

Any news on whether this scrapping of the £9k fees will extend to those already walking funny from the c£40k debt + ever swollowing interest already accumulated? I suppose I could google it, but it will just make me depressed when I inevitably find out the answer is: no.

I think stability should be prioritised. From what I've seen of this league (only really this season), what strikes me is a significant lack of quality. I'm not saying it will be easy next year, but I think if we stick with Bruce, build some continuity, add a couple of players, get a decent game plan, we will be just fine. It's an added risk to put someone new in, let them choose the (possibly new) players they want, devise a new system etc. Bruce in for me - would be quite interesting to get a poll too btw?

I read somewhere, can't remember where, that the decision to get SJ in is down to our GK coach. The article commented that our GK coach was very confident of his ability (or words to that effect).

Doesn't strike me as too defensive. The whole point of a wing back is that they are supposed to attack more than a traditional RB and LB - thus making the team more attacking
