  1. Either I'm being very thick, or he's contradicting himself completely...
  2. Not trying to sound harsh on you in particular, and I'm not happy with Jack's behaviour to get the move, but what did people expect from Jack today? He's only just joined, and probably not even trained with them properly yet. Once he gels to Pep's system and the other players he's going to be good for them. He's too good not to be be.
  3. In the 2nd half the way their props were binding just wasn't being watched. And yet we kept getting penalised. Also their tacklers or 1st to the ruck kept going prone to either kill our quick ball or slow it to a crawl. He also seemed to give them longer to recycle.
  4. Well, if we'd have made better decisions in the first half the game would have been beyond SA. Lots of individual mistakes today, but I guess that comes with the pressure of the occasion. Enthralling game of rugby. Not sure I agreed with some the ref decisions today either.
  5. £10 to Acorns if this summer he signs for anyone but Barcelona. Something like this happens every year. It's how he holds onto and even increases his power there.
  6. This is going to hurt for ages. He's going to be the face of Man City for Sky. He'll be everywhere. A shiny new plaything for them.
  7. Left the Grealish forum to go and get some scran, and see this when I come back for the latest developments. Great signing! Clinical finisher, can only help improve Watkins further.
  8. Let's be positive. I'm disappointed Jack appears to be off, and however much he's been indulged we as fans have been similarly indulged also. In three years we've gone from Steve Bruce middle of the championship to looking like being a top half of the premier league contender. Jack's a big reason why we got here, and certainly why we're still here. I think the reason that it hurts so much is that Jack truly is a generational talent. We've not had one of those at Villa Park for a very, very long time. We might not see another for a good while. There'll be great players, but not like Jack.
  9. With there being no confirmed news or updates, I wonder how much this is costing the club? For example, my boy is desperate for a shirt with Grealish on the back, but I won't buy it for him until I know he's staying. There will surely be other much more major financial implications in the short and long term that will negatively affect us. Jack Grealish undoubtedly raises the profile of the club.
  10. If he's got a loyalty bonus in his contract, I think legally players receive this at the end of a completed season or end of a contract. I don't see how he's not breaching this though.
  11. Great behaviour from the England captain. Whilst I agree he should get a move if all parties agree to it, being England captain means you have to hold yourself to higher standards imo. There are other ways he could have got a move.
  12. All good points, I'll think I'll be better to wait for further confirmation.
  13. I'm vulnerable and had two AZ. I had my second in March and it was all that was available as I asked for Pfizer. I think it was inject whatever was available for my area. Sorry to link heil but it's a major story on their website. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9849067/ALL-50s-clinically-vulnerable-offered-Pfizer-booster-shot.html
  14. Booster jabs announced for the elderly and vulnerable. All boosters to be Pfizer as it is most effective against Boris' delta variant.
  15. Targett, one of our very best last season. Creatively and defensively.
  16. To add to this it was widely acknowledged that the usual suspects had grown a little arrogant and hadn't invested as they should have done to improve their squads. "Doing a Leicester" isn't solely down to Mahrez in any way, although he was terrific that season.
  17. How and when will we see anything official from the club? I really hope he stays, but to me it looks more and more like City are letting us do our business to replace him before Jack is announced as their player. I genuinely can't think of an occasion before when on offer is known to have been made and reported across the media, and there has been no response at all from the selling club. Either the media are full of it or the board are discussing it with Jack.
  18. There's been quite a few reports this year of active stars taking courses in readiness for a life outside the business, including Bray's real life brother. Think he became a 'realtor', which I guess is American for estate agent. Re Bray, the release is no surprise. He was quite over at one point a few years ago but WWE kept on putting other people over him to the point he's become a bit of a joke. At the very least, he's not a threat. Shame really, as his early Wyatt Family and Follow the Buzzards gimmick was a good one imho.
  19. Squeaky bum time 2nd half. Not spectacular to watch so far but it sure has been enthralling. The tempo in the first ten minutes of this 2nd half is going to be key. Lions have to keep the pressure on.
  20. For the players they've signed they're still weak in midfield imho. Pogba, McTominay, and Fred are worse options than City, Chelsea, and Liverpool have. I'd argue Leicester's first choice mids are better. Refs and the FA will get them into the top 4 again.
  21. For me he's not been the same player since the last lions series. Thought he was phenomenal up to then. I think he's very lucky to have been selected; only injuries and a relatively shallow talent pool for centres are the reasons he's in the squad. Positively though, some really terrific performances from the forwards and the subs. If we can take the tempo of the second half into the next test we've got a real shot of winning the series.
  22. What a turnaround. 12-3 at ht, we looked beaten. Quite a few pieces of luck, although SA discipline was shocking in the second half. Ref needed to be more vocal. Please no Daly in the next test. He's not physical enough and is so out of form. Forwards were immense today though.
  23. If we do sign James I can't imagine him in a starting role. Jack and Emi on the flanks, with James coming on to stretch games or to start against teams who we're looking to hit on the break. Not someone who'll be a starter each week.
