  1. I think that's his point. And he convenienty, tediously and mind-numbingly conflates the error with a dig at 'lefty' FOI request and a dig at working from home (as if no mistakes were ever made in an office). He's such a clearing in the woods anyway.
  2. Isn't xg showing something a little different? As in, him getting his xg doesn't define him being a good finisher because if he was a better finisher he'd have a higher xg.
  3. I mean, in fairness, just because you posted it doesn't mean it's true. I think it's pretty easy to point fingers from the outside, but I doubt it's a black and white situation. Then there's that improvement between Smith/Gerrard, but in counter to that there's the different players etc. etc.
  4. It's the lack of punctuation that does it!

In the moment when I read that list, I was like, 'Yeah Coutinho is skillful, yeah Buendia is skillfull—this is great! We clearly have such a skillfull team and I wonder who's coming next—ah yeah Traore, good point—he's skillfull...so who's next..............oh, Bailey and Chukwumeka.' I'm not sure I've seen Bailey or Chukwumeka do a single skill. If I've seen Bailey do a skill I've also in the next second seen him run away from the ball as if he was meant to bring it with him but forgot it. My only point in all of this is that your list really disappointed me!
  6. Somehow Episode 9 manages to be the worst one—its plot is like it was written by an AI. It has all the usual JJ Abrams illogical moments but the fake theme-park ride energy he normally slaps the audience around the face with has disappeared completely. It feels like nobody was convinced by that film as they were making it. It's just one big brave face.
  7. I should try Lower Decks. I watched the first episode of Strange New Worlds and it was OK actually. Maybe a bit dull, but they seemed to be trying to be a bit more like actual Star Trek. They even have a human crew that isn't all generic New York-esque coffee shop Americans, which was a shocker in comparison to Discovery (clearly having a broad cast of different types of people is a core trait of Star Trek). The Last Jedi though! Obviously, I respect your opinion. The Force Awakens was for me dumb and rubbish but at least the first time I could pretend I enjoyed it (I was wrong—it is so dumb and so rubbish!), for me The Last Jedi was just brutal in its disregard of Star Wars, mainly in how it treated Luke. I get it that it 'tried' to do some original things, but it didn't really do much of it. I guess the pointless Canto Brite thing was—nah I can't. I can't defend it even hypothetically. I could have walked out of that film in the first 10 minutes when, I thing if I remember right, they do a 'your mumma' joke and an X wing pilot pretends to be an answerphone to the Imperial guy on a Star Destroyer. That's the wrong tone for Star Wars for me. Then pretty much every scene afterwards had something as bad too! (all imo of course).
  8. I think replacing him was what helped us to stop being a relegation candidate!
  9. I'm not sure which of the two incredibly high-potential franchises have been treated worse. Star Wars is a lame imitiation of what it could have been, soulless and lacking in much originality. Star Trek is now even worse than that—often needlessly violent, even more stupid than Disney Star Wars at its most stupid (but then I think of Boba Fett and realise—no, they are equally stupid. Discovery/Picard, Boba Fett, Episodes 7-9 are all equally stupid). JJ Abrams is an idiot and he has idiot friends and between them they've pretty much trashed both franchises alone! Shit mates.
  10. For sure because that would be awful! But I think the real one is a page or so back.
  11. You hope he's less of your hunch that you don't know is true or not?!
  12. I mean, presumably he's allowed to hire another coach. And it's not like all big managers don't have coaches too. And it's not like coaches don't leave and get replaced.
  13. Do the other teams just disappear though? We've had a lot of catching up to do over the last few years. I definitely hope for top 8 but the only obvious teams for us to be competing with are Leicester and West Ham out of the top 8 this year, and they're teams that have been building well over a long period of time—time when we were in the Championship/fighing to stay up. We've had just two seasons of Premier League building. Even suggesting we're spending more than anyone else year on year is a bit of a dubious statement. Season 1: when we were promoted, we had to buy a whole new team. Season 2: we added to a team that scraped through survival on goal difference and can't imagine we spent that much more than other teams anyway. Season 3: we lost an apparently '£100million player' and spent really badly and misbalanced the squad—we started last season with El Ghazi on the right wing and Ashley Young on the left wing. Last summer's transfer window/losing Grealish pretty much knocked the club back a year and cost Smith his job. We want to progress and hopefully we will, but it's a bit more complicated than just saying we 'have a top 8 wage bill'. I'd say 9th at the lowest though, and that would be disappointing. But the fact is the Premier League is a competitive league and there are a lot of good teams building wisely.
  14. I like it. I don't know what people are expecting!
  15. Wow that is crazy harsh. 'You've been critical' you say? Clearly!
  16. Me too. I saw one crypto guy saying ages ago 'sell the news' (Gamestop news) and I wish I had listened. As we both know it went back down in about a day. I was up a nice amount! I watch Eric Krown's videos and he's been useful for me. I managed to lower my average a huge amount in the last month or so as he called that 30% or whatever drop. He's leaning towards another big drop next week too depending on how it goes this weekend, so I think I'll try to lower my average even more if that happens.
  17. Some people love looking for reasons to be angry!
  18. He was so good when he was thin! Agbonlahor is the same age as Vardy—what could have been. Vardy kept his body shape and pace. He is clearly the superior player, but Gabby still could have been so much better for us for so much longer.
  19. In the Liverpool documentary Being Liverpool, he actually came across as really quiet and nice. It's always stuck with me! Sure then he went on to do and say other things, but his core character didn't seem to be an arsehole. Incidentally, this seems to be a phrase that might work with a lot of people (more or less nice people saying and doing bad things).
  20. Off topic, but the 'third times a charm' line at the end is a bit forced. The writer conveniently missed out Ayew and Veretout so they could wedge that in!
