Plenty of strikers would struggle in the same situation though. West Ham are a good team. Defenses often nullify strikers, and it doesn't make the striker bad.

I thought it was pretty good, but the riddler mystery felt a bit undercooked for me. And what went for a Batman theme, or theme of the film, was just the same droning four notes on repeat. I think the score in those moments was a bit of a missed opportunity. But I liked the cast, and it was well made.

I'm synched up with you pretty much! I had my first positive on Monday. I've been confined in the bedroom working from home too, because to get a sick note for me in Madrid it's a two hour ballache of a journey there and back to my registered medical centre, and that seems irresponsible (my fault for not yet registering with the doctor at the end of the street I've just moved to). For me it's been like a weak cold too. I'd say I'm mostly over the symptoms now though, bar a little sense of being clogged up in my head.

I thought the final episode of season 1, directed by Taika Waititi, was the peak moment of the show. It was so good. I think my disappointment was clear in an earlier post, but that reveal at the end of season 2 fell so flat on its face for me. Everything about 'Luke' in the TV shows has been really off for me.

I know one guy who is obsessed with Star Wars—he had excuses for all the Disney Star Wars films, and he loves the prequels, but Boba Fett was too much for him. He says it's rubbish. I know that's just one little anecdote, but I don't think time is going to look too kindly on The Book (why is it called this) of Boba Fett. I genuinely think it's abysmal. All the creative decisions on it are half-baked at best. It became a bit of a hate watch for me. It's telling that, imo, The Mandalorian became bad for me the exact moment Boba Fett showed up in that too.

Look no actual literal incongruous cowboys and no actual stupid incongruous mods. I wrote a lot there but I think my main point is Boba Fett, and the end of season 2 of The Mandalorian, were really shit imo. And the game looks good.

Interesting to hear the Front Missions are classics. As I say, I'm intrigued. They had a bit of the XCOM about them. I think MK8 could do with a massive freshen up if they're going to milk it for even longer. The menus and the whole UI are looking really dated, and I started feeling bored just loading it up. I couldn't get excited about those tracks—in fact, I sold MK to my brother for my niece!

Front Mission 1 looked intriguing. The rest of the Direct was pretty much all meh. I'd almost say it was the worst one yet.

I kind of see Watkins as essential for our hold up play in games like that. I can imagine Ings struggling even more to get in the game. I could imagine him barely getting a touch.

I think the way the game was set up our whole midfield were pretty absent. Leeds committed so many men forwards.

I think Christopher Hitchens coming up with such an absurd idea reveals a lot about the people upset about 'cancel culture' as much as any 'cancel culture' itself. I really get the impression that there are sensitive people all over the place who are basically unable to filter Twitter, or filter people talking about Twitter. Twitter is a cess put a lot of the time and it doesn't matter if you're left or right or up or down. It suits a certain narrative to make it a 'one group is the problem' wedge issue though.
