he's crap, he cant defend, wins fk all in the air from long balls and is positionally the worst centre half of the lot of them. He literally goes walk about. But villa fans, as thick as most of them are when rating players just think he's a beast cos he runs fast, is built like a tank and has a worldy video on youtube against fernando torres. Unfortunately there is more to central defending then running quick and knocking strikers off the ball, but then again that's what looks good on the highlights reel.

I didn't understand the hate when it looked like he was leaving and i don't understand it now. He did us a favour signing a contract in January, it showed he was fully committed to getting us out of the shit we were and he certainly more than played his part in keeping the club up. Along the way he nearly got the club to the FA Cup final with key goals against Lpool and WBA and has now pocketed the club 8 million quid along the way which he didn't have to do. Good luck to him, he deserves the chance to challenge for the title and ultimately to progress his career. Go back to October time and a shitload of villa fans were saying he was shit anyway, they were allowed a u-turn so i dont begrudge him one.

Players always become inconsistent / lazy / no good with supporters when they are going out the door. People on here were saying the same about Delph when it looked like he was going out on a free.

If the worst does happen, I can see a renewed sense of optimism and enjoyment for the game amongst our fans next season (once we have got over the fact we are on the championship) as we go with Robinson upfront, Grealish on the left, Gardner in the middle. Loan moves into the championship are great for younger players but a full season playing in the championship as a group and gelling together would the best introduction they could get for their villa careers as they move into the prem the year after (hopefully). 4k, 5k attendances away from home, a team of talented young homgrown players and a disposal of the 'got a new contract do **** all' parasites we currently have would be a great cleanse from the perpetual dismal bollocks we currently endure.
