  1. Nice of the 'super 6' to give each other, even their supposed rivals, a helping hand.
  2. Why are people arguing about how Leicester plays/how Barnes plays with someone who’s presumably watched them week in week out?
  3. Sadly, Lopetegui has a good record against him too, so I expect Wolves will continue to frustrate us next season.
  4. For all of what? Two games? You've known our fanbase for how long?
  5. Isn't there a Beautician Ruchee who plays for the Zimbabwe national team?
  6. It's mindboggling he's only 22 and he's already scored over 220 goals. That's already more than quite a number of strikers have scored in their entire careers, including Dwight Yorke and Les Ferdinand, and nearly as many as Michael Owen.
  7. It's the same with fans even of teams who regularly feature in the CL. They get reflexively wound up by journalists and pundits and find little to respect about their opinions - not unjustly, mind you - but at the same time they seem to crave their attention and approval. I think there's also a lack of giving people the benefit of the doubt, as if there couldn't be an actual good reason why a journalist would be guarded about our chances - considering that, yes, we'd be up against Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool, and potentially Spurs, Brighton and Newcastle - rather than unreservedly confident in our ability to manage the demands of the ECL, domestic competitions, and a top 4 finish.
  8. Surely the Mudryk deal was some kind of money laundering? He looked a fine enough player at Donetsk but the amount spent on him was absurd.
  9. (I'm sure you got the joke, but I just wanted to post the original tweets in case people weren't aware of it.) (For people who don't know, this is our name and badge in various Pro Evolution Soccer games because Konami couldn't get the licence for our real name and badge. Leeds are called Yorkshire Whites.)
  10. I think there's a kind of doublethink that goes on on social media. It's more likely that they know we're not just copying Chelsea but can't resist believing it anyway for the sake of manufacturing drama and getting a rise out of Villa fans.
  11. In that they've both won major trophies more recently than us?
  12. If true, more fool me for thinking he might be above this.
  13. I do sympathise with this, but I don't think we'll be as bad as that. We're in very good hands at the moment, and lots of things are in place for us to do very well next season.
  14. Don't see the problem with that. That's his old gaffer, after all.
  15. Ultimately, Brighton deserve it more than we do. We wasted a 1/3 of the season on the Liverpudlian fraud. The past few games really show we need players who can break down teams that sit back.
  16. Emery and Lopetegui are both very familiar with each other (Emery has mentioned Lopetegui a few times as one of the Spanish managers he most admires), and Lopetegui has only lost one of their six encounters, so this is definitely one I'm worried about. Will probably be a draw.
  17. It’s like Utd fans trying to argue that every major decision goes against them and there’s a conspiracy of refs who just don’t want them win trophies or qualify for the CL over Liverpool. It’s pathetic and utterly divorced from reality. I get that nearly every fanbase thinks the officials and the ‘powers that be’ are plotting against their team’s success - including Plop and Citeh fans, laughably, and, yes, we do our fair share of this too - but some are more justified in feeling that way than others, and the sight of a Utd fan whinging about corruption, coercion, or bias in the game is extraordinary. Especially since we know for a fact, from Dermot Gallagher and Mark Clattenburg, that refs made certain decisions that favoured them even when they weren't strictly fair or at all correct, simply because it was better that than having to be intimidated later by Fergie.
  18. This is a bit like when Emery won 7 trophies with PSG over 2 seasons and it was called a "disappointment".
