    Chelsea

Are they a genuinely independent sponsor? If so I'm surprised they managed to get such a huge deal given the uncertainty over their current position. That deal going to look pretty foolish for infinite athlete if Chelsea continue to make a mess of their squad. I get that it's likely Chelsea will be back among the top 6 this season, but it's a pretty big gamble
  3. You still haven't said which site you're looking at?
  4. I'd guess a Fanatics issue. They run the club shop these days I think. Why Fanatics don't have the stock though could well be a club issue due to the badge changing this season, late agreement on style, new sponsor to incorporate, etc.

    Tyler Adams

I'd comfortably take him over Donk... but don't see him being persuaded to come here as a very obvious backup / rotation option. Yeah, I know he'd get game time, but I think he'd want more than half the minutes rather than less.
  6. Not on the official PL site like that either. Not sure where that's come from.
  7. I dont think its loony, but i dont agree. I'm not sure why the men's team should have to play in only colours that accommodate a very specifically women's circumstance. I'd be happy for the men and women to play in claret shorts in any given season, I think claret shorts works nicely, but I wouldn't expect us to abandon white shorts for the men on those grounds. The shirts are styled differently, the shorts can be too if needed for gender specific reasons
  8. 1. Man City 2. Arsenal 3. Liverpool 4. Man United 5. Villa 6. Chelsea 7. Brighton 8. Newcastle 9. Tottenham (will be above Newcastle and Brighton if they keep Kane) 10. Brentford 11. Palace 12. Burnley 13. Bournemouth 14. Fulham 15. West Ham 16. Wolves 17. Forest 18. Luton 19. Everton 20. Sheffield United Newcastle (and Howe) to get found out and really struggle with Europe. Spurs screwed if they sell kane, but still going to struggle to get top 7 even if they keep him. Burnley to be the surprise package and have first season bounce, before getting relegated the season after. Everton to finally flush, but really that bottom 6 could be on any order, they're all going to be bad.
  9. I don't think they're obscured, just the resolution of the picture is so low you probably couldn't tell if they were there anyway. Don't really know when the picture was taken either. It surfaced yesterday but might be a few days older.
  10. Yep. The concern (and indeed expectation for some) is that the same thing will happen again, rinse and repeat. He really needs to stay fit for a sustained period now. Even that won't convince some, who would just use that run to get money for him in January.
  11. I'm surprised where he's tried to play Torres in pre-season, unless we sold the idea of him being a left back in Emery's system to him during the signing. If we didn't, then I can't see him being very happy not to start centre back first game. Nor can I see Emery not starting him somewhere given his adoration of him. I think Konsa is going to right back and Pau is partnering Mings in the middle. Cash will be missing out. I also think Tielemans deserved a start, but not sure who I'd drop him for. Maybe Kamara based on pre-season form but seems a bit offensive for an away game against Newcastle. Emery has got his work cut out for him now!
  12. Could still be extended either side of the Terrace though. You'd only get maybe two rows before you impede the lower tier though I think. And Rigo was presumably suggesting that they'll drop the lettering lower down, so the top of the T will now be below where the accessible Terrace is. There is an issue with this as they lost about 6 rows from the top of the stand... but they only have 3 or 4 rows available below the H, so they'll have to squash it in when it's reworked somehow, assuming they want to keep them aligned.
  13. Maybe, although the big fish small pond thing might be what works for him. He wasn't a complete clown at Leicester before he signed for United. Agree I wouldn't want him, but might work for West Ham. Not a gamble i'd be taking for any amount of money though
  14. They can sign whatever sponsorship deals they want with their "arms length" organisations. I'm sure they'd be able to find a way around FFP if they wanted to. This is why I think they'd never be voted on board by the existing members in the first place.
  15. Been too long time since I've had any real interest in European football. Nice to have it back!
  16. Wanted to put this in the villa topic but it's mysteriously closed... Luzern gives us a nice away trip. Hibs gives McGinn a bit of homecoming. Both should be very beatable and let us rotate the squad options over the two legs. Be happy whoever wins that qualifier. Anyone know if TNT are showing any of the qualifiers?
  17. It's not quite this straight forward as they've lost more rows from the top of the T than they have available below the H to move it down to align. They'll either have to resize the letters or maybe even move it to the upper holte? I'm sure they do have a plan to correct it though yes.... be interesting to see if they achieve it within the next 10 days.
  18. When you can control a football as well as this man can, there is always going to be a space in the squad for you. Any club would be happy to have him. That doesn't mean he is value for money for us at the moment, but he can provide us with something that very few other footballers in the world can. Hopefully he stays injury free long enough to show it this season. And start looking more like the amazing coup he was when he first arrived.
  19. Whenever someone posts USMNT I read it as TMNT and the theme tune begins running through my head. Enjoy
  20. I'd be surprised if they hadn't. Not exactly much time to put it in between now and the first home game. I'd guess if it's not complete it won't be far off. Maybe whoever took the photo to get outraged about the disabled section thought the rail seating looked OK so didn't want to include it in the picture
  21. Back of the upper holte. That photo is the showing the back of the lower holte
  22. Pretty sure it is the new accessible seating section. But i question the logic...putting it on a platform behind a row of fans that will stand up anytime something exciting is happening(if not most of the game)... Will those in wheelchairs not just miss all the key moments? Before you even begin on how out of place and inconsistent it looks and the Lettering thats been butchered, with no obvious way of making it look better given the now different sizes of each seating section. Poor Holte End
  23. I'm surprised that qualified as one. Is it just a fixed rule that if no other player touches the ball after you've passed to a teammate who scores, that you get the assist? Regardless of distance covered/time progressed?
  24. 3 games in 6 days at the end of Nov/start of December looks brutal. Not least because the last of the 3 is against Man City. I assume the reason that's not being played on the Wednesday is due to TV? Makes me think another signing and a couple more replacements/ improvements of players on the periphery would be ideal for the upcoming season. Expecting Watkins to play every single game is a non starter, and just swapping Diaby in isn't an option either because he'll be playing as second striker most other games. Archer or Duran going to get plenty of minutes unless we sign another striker.
