I can see there being complications and uncertainty around the bottom few teams at the end of the season. "Are we relegated or playing in the premiership next season? Have we got to plan for parachute payments or can we spend x amount on that player we've been eyeing up?".

Is he Zaniolo's replacement? Seems to be ready made and can be brought in gradually until the end of the summer. Not thrown straight in.

I think it may all be tied in. Not defending the lack of communication that's happened since Heck has come in. But I think the badge and the Adidas are probably all tied in together so they're not going to announce one without the other. I think the Adidas deal sounds more flexible than what we've ever had up until now. I think it's just been here's the contract, length and money. Now it sounds like they're in it for the long term and the more successful we are the more we'll potentially get.

I think the move to Turkey was a late move to get him out of Rome. He clearly had to leave and that seemed the only viable option at the time (IIRC). Was too late for any of the other european clubs to potentially come in for him. They probably kept an eye on him and how he did there before re-assessing. But I agree, it's not a progressive move from Serie A. I'm sure he was hoping to pickup his form there and get a move to a bigger club. I have to admit I'd had high hopes for him, especially with Emery working with him. But it's not appearing to work out. Reminds me of the Barkley loan. Flashes of good performances and the odd goal but ultimately not what we need right now.

Just wondering, do season ticket holders get to buy whatever seats are free before the general sale is open? Or are there only certain areas that are available? I'm looking to get Wolves tickets but I'm coming from Canada. Potentially have a friend's partner who is a season ticket holder, that I may ask to grab me a pair. It's been so long since I've been to Villa Park and last time was a pre season friendly against Fiorentina!

That was my thinking when people talk about a whole new stadium, rather than modifying the current one. Put a HS2 stop nearby at Bodymoor and a big car park and it'll be like an NFL stadium!!

Yeah because with Purslow he was quite open about the big decisions that went on, that we maybe weren't savy about (stadium plans, Grealish sale etc). Now there's so many rumours and speculation. Badge was supposed to be announced ages ago? Stadium plans have apparently been scrapped.

I've been following him on insta. He's definitely mobile and obviously working on his strength/mobility. But I think he's some way off actually being out and running around with the boys. He's usually got something attached to him on some of the "regular" exercises like the bike or when he's in the pool.

Anyone see the 49'ers player who was jumping on the sideline and then as he was going on, injured himself and was on the floor for several minutes. Had to be driven off in the golf buggy? I presume he did his knee in or something. But imagine going through all that work and effort, just to injure yourself prancing around on the touchline Also thought Kelce was on something, the way he screamed at his coach during the game, and then the viva las vegas rendition with the trophy

If we have to take him back then he's had a season playing in the premier league, gaining experience. Far better than if he was still here, playing bit parts or going back on loan to a championship club. Either way we'd get a young striker who's scored a few goals in the premier league in an awful team, that we can either keep, or sell if the right offer comes in.

Not ideal, but it's a good test for him and for Unai to see if he wants to keep him or try and sell him in the summer if he's deemed not good enough for what we want. I seem to remember having Bannan and Hogg in midfield against Manure (Carrick and Scholes I think it was?) and they bossed them. We were unlucky not to get something from that game. May turn out to be great having Tim thrown in like this. I suspect he won't be though, and we'll re-jig the formation and maybe play someone else in that position, like Luiz.
