Also the fact that he's done a couple of fitness programmes to get into real shape with Bruce and RDM, (I believe) and he's still no where near the 1st team kinda says it all for me. Or am I thinking of someone else?

It's a real shame. They've basically repeated what we've done. But we got a new owner who looks like he actually cares about the club. They've got a Lerner V2 that's dragged on much longer. Now they're going to be playing League 1 football next season.

The relegation season left a sour taste for me. He's supposed to Villa through and through, and to me showed no desire and fight, when we needed someone to lead and show the others exactly what being Villa is all about. He's no Messi and his pace may have dropped over the years, but there has been the odd occasion in the past few seasons where he's looked useful and contributed alot to the team. Albeit in small flashes here and there. It's a shame because on his day he was brilliant. I will wish him luck in whatever he does next and he does deserve a good sendoff in my opinion.

I know what you mean. Especially the north stand. Whenever I would look at it it just reminded me of the concrete jungle of city centre Coventry. Grey, drab looking buildings. A karcher/pressure washer would do wonders on the appearance.

I thought Lyngby were hours away from going out of business? I appreciate it takes time to negotiate etc but I would have thought we would have heard some update by now.

And he came from a non-league team did he not? Still has lots to learn, but he is a threat and playing in the championship has been perfect for him and his development. Far to early to be writing him off or slating him.

When you look at what we splashed out on before Bruce arrived, I think most of his signings have worked out to be great. The Terry signing eclipses all the crap we bought under Lerner, to the point where I've completely forgotten them!!!

FFP only a potential problem if we qualify for Europe I thought? Let's face it most teams in the premiership it's probably not much of an issue. Only for likes of Citeh who may spend 80 million on a player?

Oh I know it was......Just wanted to re-establish how bad they're doing at the moment!! Even in our bleakest moments as a club they seem to do even worse...silver linings and all that

True, and especially where we are right now, a loan signing from the likes of Spurs or Man Utd is really helping us. But I think this one for me isn't really working out. Everytime I've seen him play he looks lost and gives the ball away far too much. We've played really well recently and he's not been in the side.

One of our players of the season for me. We look a fret (to quote Paul Merson) going forward with him in the lineup. We have Alli and Lallana in that position for England so he's going to have to be as good if not better than them before he gets near the England squad. -
Hi everyone. I'm a lifelong Villa fan. Grew up in Warwickshire but now live in Canada. Been following the site for a while and often whatever TRO posts I wholeheartedly agree with! But felt like I should join so I can contribute to the community. Watching Villa lift the coca-cola cup be a good side, to seeing them relegated pushed me away from the game, until Dr Xia came in. But have always loved it and have been following them even from across the pond and this season has been the best in a long time. UTV
