  1. F***ing incredible. It's pretty rare for a bloke to admire another blokes pins. But I reckon there's not a person, penis or no penis, that doesn't look twice at them calves.
  2. @Xela @Mandy Lifeboats Thanks guys. Got a return message that was pleasant but ultimately she felt that the chemistry wasn't there for romance. Would've been punching above my weight anyway, had a good night and it's given me some perspective on what I want for myself.
  3. This is a must watch, if you haven't seen it already, even if you have..
  4. Went on a dinner date tonight. Was an enjoyable evening. Played a few rounds of pool after. Good conversation throughout. I thought this girl was attractive from her pictures but when we met in person, I was taken aback, she is stunning. I had already established she was intelligent and an achiever from the discussion we'd had prior to meeting. A classy person. So safe to say this was an evening I wanted to make a good first impression and have some fun at the same time. However, don't know that I did.. I had also had a quite confronting experience two days prior, some heavy stuff went down, and my energy and mood wasn't at it's finest. So to wrap it up, I don't really know how it went, I left the date with thoughts and feelings that I wasn't quite what this girl was looking for.. But I don't really know what I'm basing that on.. I'm hoping it was just a poor mood and low energy levels playing tricksies on me. She did a sneaky and paid for our dinner, conversation flowed throughout and we both threw some character compliments the others way. All good signs I guess.. But I don't know to what extent she was just being polite and pleasant etc. Anyway, advice on how I could possibly follow up would be appreciated. This is definitely a girl I would like to explore seeing further. But I also want to respect if the interest isn't there on her side.

@Xann Love the idea of this thread. Good one. Hopefully it kicks off.
  6. We get it in Victoria too. Don't mind me, I'm just jealous because you're in Summer and there's only one season here in Melbourne.. "Today, tomorrow's, next week, next year and on to infinity and beyond the weather forecast for Melbourne will be..." "Between 5 and 40 degrees Celsius, 50% chance of rain, chance of hail and likely to be a combination of any or all" "Yet we'll still get that prediction wrong" Touche!
  7. Yeah I'd be inclined to agree. I play basketball professionally and I know what guys are doing to their bodies, sometimes even before training sessions. It's not the end of the world and not a huge detriment to their abilities should they keep things relatively in check. Agreed though doesn't ooze model-pro.
  8. Even if your powers of observation were right and those glasses do belong to McGinn. Are we really worried about two pints, two days before a match?
  9. Sorry if this is unwelcome here. Whilst it's complete trash, it's still some comic relief.
  10. To start, I like your post but I'm out of my daily quota. Coaching and tactics absolutely can, and they do, win games. Not on their own, they require personnel to manifest them for the duration of preparation and game day. As for being magic, I don't think that's an apt way to describe them. There's no mystery or supernatural when it come to the practicalities involved in coaching or tactics. Both involve specific and clear direction and guidelines in order to obtain a desired outcome. They require detailed understanding and knowledge of what's at stake. Not really magic, unless you mean it in a very loose and general sense like it being pretty amazing that we're all here in the first place. Now that has some mystery to it. But coaching and tactics specifically, nah. But they without doubt will win you games. Superstar team over a team of superstars every time for me. As for the rest of your post, very nice, I like... I have been known to get on a soapbox about merit (more from a societal leadership angle) so I agree with your observations there. But my favourite part is the personality part. He is amiable, which is so important in life, as well as sport, in any relationship dynamic that you can muster it, everyone involved will benefit from it. Remember good sportsmanship? It's the same as showing good character. Which Smith does. He comes across as honest and hardworking, an avid learner within the game. The latter being what has enabled him to come in and gain promotion where others couldn't. And why I believe he will kick on to greater success, I'm wishful that it's with us.
  11. DeMarcus Cousins does his ACL and is out indefinitely. Got to feel for the guy. That's potentially another championship that goes begging. He's averaged a double-double for the last 10 years in his time on the court, could be his time as a top performer done now.
  12. I certainly would. If we're talking strictly Premier League years. Has the best goals for games ratio, and one of the higher goals tallies on offer. He would just impose his will on games to the point he was unstoppable. Certainly there was a point in time where if the discussion was about the best striker in the PL.. Benteke was probably third name of your tongue, only to be beaten by Van Persie and Suarez.
  13. You have a very endearing relationship dynamic going on here. And on a side note, what's the temperature get to in the UK during summer? Probably no warmer than the fridge would be anyway.
  14. Marcelo Bielsa. Was my favourite manager in the world for a decade until I got acquainted with Dean Smith. I still hold him in a high regard and hope he gets Leeds back to the PL. He had the decency to order his players to give us a goal after all the unsportsmanlike shenanigans they showed.
  15. Would that be Mbappe currently? To be fair PSG are pretty stacked. Only the biggest clubs in the world have players like Di Maria coming off the bench. I agree though, hasn't lived up to the hype, I'd of thought he and Bale would have at least joined the Ronaldo vs Messi Ballon d'Or discussion, if not surpassed them in rank by now.
  16. It's what separates two players of the same skill-set from being good, to being great, both in defense and attack. The vast majority of the time, whoever controls the play has a significant advantage. The other must react and therefore can't do what they want to.
  17. It''s a pretty subtle dummy. One could easily mistake it as a stutter step in an attempt to balance himself for a shot, especially considering he was full tilt. Rose certainly bought a ticket, a one way trip to hook, line and sinker. McGinn's actually a phenomenal little player. I really hope he spends many years with us.
  18. It'd have to be the one 15 seconds in to the clip posted above and here: https://video.fmel8-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t42.9040-2/51377075_310079122974748_5569250063697313792_n.mp4?_nc_cat=106&efg=eyJ2ZW5jb2RlX3RhZyI6InN2ZV9zZCJ9&_nc_oc=AQm1HtHmpwMC3DueVqNL-sk_iBUOG7XJb8NBi2r5DO8DWxxL_Km8Ft-RiwoNwJKbsAQdor4LXHtahksQtRNGY1kT&_nc_ht=video.fmel8-1.fna&oh=2c4ebc6b555349b9a1c35fa99748a43e&oe=5D55EB3F
  19. Congratulations on securing a position that seems like a good pitch and moving out of a role that, from what it comes across to me as, is purely for paying your bills and expenses. What's there to be awkward about? Am I right in thinking you start new job in 3 weeks but were required to give 4 weeks notice to current employer?
  20. It was made permanent by decree in 1943.
  21. Over 35,000 people die per year from gun violence in the U.S. Black males are 15 times more likely to be shot than white males. Black Americans are 10 times more likely to die by gun homicide than white Americans. 3 million American children are witness to gun violence every year. 58% of Americans or someone they care for has experienced gun violence. I've already posted my understanding of the intent of the 2nd amendment, in a nutshell for anyone who missed it.. America's 2nd amendment was written with citizen militias in mind as there was opposition to a professional army. Now the U.S has a professional army which is at world conquest capabilities, and the citizen militia that is left could not compete. So, the 2nd amendment is redundant in many ways as it was proposed on the basis of preventing a despotic government jeopardising the rights of the citizens. Now you have despotic government and professional army that, as I said, could conquer the world. And the guns that were meant to save the public are killing them en masse. You also had the 2nd amendment written at a peak time for slavery of blacks, and I'll take a stab in the dark and say that blacks weren't in the citizen militias or given arms. It's so tragic and sadly ironic that the same guns used to keep slaves in check and the citizens 'free', are still keeping blacks down and have enslaved the citizens to a death culture.
  22. He's had some world class attempts not quite go in too. Just watched a highlight reel from last season and there were at least a half dozen. I remember one (which I can't find unfortunately) just outside the box slightly right side, he wins a contest, beats the defender with a spin move and launches a pearl at goal. Would of been as good if not better than the volley he scored from outside the box that went in at the top corner. I'd say he's our best finisher from range. Especially considering the pace and intensity that is involved in everything he does, he still manages to execute with poise and composure.
