Looking at his body position I don’t think he expected the back pass off Kamara at pace , got caught on his heels and tried to dig it out up the pitch , miskicked it straight back at him . Could have been costly . Other than that I thought he did ok .

Ezri looks really comfortable being part of the in possession 3 CBs , playing with confidence from the Unai effect , got a bit of Rolls Royce about him .

The work that’s been done in the Academy in recent years has been nothing short of fantastic and is going from strength to strength, as others have said we are getting top money for good prospects with possible buy backs if deemed to our level. These players need game time and experience which they will not currently get quick enough by keeping them here . 1 or 2 Academy players around the first team at all times whilst at the same time selling others for millions is a great achievement and how a great club like ours should and will be run . Lots more high level players coming through that will add to the first team selection or sale process . UTV !

He was one of a the key components in a team that last season was being talked about “could have been top 4 with a full season like this “… so for me if he’s good enough to get us there he’s good enough to be here . Great player, UTV

Absolutely piddling down here in the Isle of Wight , could hear thunder in the distance making its way to the mainland.

In December last year it was nailed on that Jamal was joining Chelsea , since then Chelsea’s Academy has hit a few potholes ( thankfully ). AVFC never gave up on the signing of this lad , really really top player and held in high regard in all the cat 1 elite Academies , they are all envious of our attraction / facilities for the foundation and youth development . We really are on the up …UTV

All of the local clubs are our feeders, we take the top Academy players and staff off them

Probably one for the Academy thread so apologies in advance . While we a talking about Academy player sales these moves have to be made to further our progression , we need some money coming back in ,the new Brookvale facility is heavily funded from the Academy budget and with more Academy centres planned to open in the next few years we will obviously have to be moving players on to fund it , that’s the business. The outreach satellite centres we work with will no doubt also get swallowed up as funding will decrease as the Academy take over our own facilities .
