  1. Ending Palace’s 7 game unbeaten run, and away from home too, is no mean feat. Hugely encouraging start from Gerrard. I’m slowly starting not to dread Saturdays again.
  2. Really living up to his name under Gerrard, so good to see.
  3. A war torn hellhole with no internet access. As a Virgin Media customer living in Birmingham I can empathise. (Apologies, not wishing to make light of the situation over there…)
  4. Fair play to you for having the presence of mind to put him right after downing 12 pints at half time. I salute you
  5. Maybe he’d followed through and needed to go and get cleaned up?
  6. As if we don’t already have enough reasons to laugh at them - a truly hideous new third kit that had already been rejected by Venezia: https://amp.footyheadlines.com/1208813497333828344/
  7. It’s bizarre what football does to people. Newcastle have just been taken over by one the most tyrannical, oppressive regimes in the world and much of their fan base has been dancing in the streets in celebration. We’re now managed by a bin-dipper who once punched a DJ for not playing Phil Collins and some people are besides themselves with rage. From a footballing point of view I get the apprehension, I’m apprehensive too. But some of the hatred towards Gerrard is just plain irrational.
  8. Apologies, it may not have come across that way, but my Rashica comment was ironic - he’s looked a bag of shite when I’ve seen him for Norwich this season. I’m sure Dean will do well in his next role and I sincerely hope he does. I’m still a bit numb that he’s gone.
  9. I think he’d do well there - no Grealish but he’s got Rashica to work with instead.
  10. It’s Tim Iroegbuman isn’t it? I can’t say it either.
  11. Seeing DCL wearing my teenage daughter’s school uniform is one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever seen.
  12. Maybe he’s not a big advocate of a repressive regime engaged in sports washing? (although maybe that’s giving him too much credit)
  13. Did you mean to type that or is that autocorrect in action?
  14. Me neither. Feels like someone’s died. I’ve cracked open a drink to try to numb the pain.
  15. This had an air of inevitability about it but it still doesn’t make it any easier to take. Not since Brian Little have I wanted a Villa manager to succeed more. Don’t mind admitting that I have tears in my eyes.
  16. I’d like to think it was a child-like drawing of a cock and two balls.
  17. I have to reluctantly accept that it’s time for Dean to go. I’m gutted, love the bloke and everything he’s achieved at Villa has felt all the more special with him being one of us. There have been times over the last 3 years when I’ve never felt more proud to be a Villa fan. But no getting away from the fact that it’s gone horribly and seemingly irreparably wrong. Devastated. I feel the way I did when we had our cat put down. I knew it was the only option and the right thing to do, but I felt thoroughly shit about it.
