  1. Interesting article. Simon Stone starts off quite professionally but then descends into a string of expletives and obscenities. I’m surprised the BBC published that.
  2. Leicester have had an absolute mare tonight. In the other group game Legia Warsaw were awarded a 98th minute penalty against Spartak Moscow. If they’d scored, Leicester would have been through at Spartak’s expense. They missed…
  3. Well justice was done there. Arsenal’s cynical play acting at every opportunity came back to haunt them with 6 minutes added, and then Richarlison giving them a taste of their own time-wasting medicine. Stick that up your hairy balloon knots Arsenal.
  4. The signs of quality are staring to show more and more. He’s like a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis. Slowly.
  5. The level of his transformation has been miraculous. Immense player.
  6. Only that some people, for some unfathomable reason, seem to think we can rely on Cameron Archer and Keinan Davis if Watkins is injured again. Bizarre, we’re finally building strength in depth, why wouldn’t that be a good thing? Ings is quality and still has a big role to play here.
  7. Despite the defeat I’ve come away feeling really positive. We look so much better in all departments than we did a few weeks ago - really pleased by what Gerrard and his team have brought to us. Intelligence, effort and intensity. Unfortunately in the first half we caught Man City in one of those spells where they’re on another planet. Mind you, when you look at what their squad cost, they should be. Optimistic for the remainder of the season.
  8. Mission accomplished, although I only put £25 on them in the end. The other £25 is going on them to beat Burnley I’ll be bankrupt by the end of the season.
  9. Anyone else’s Amazon feed miles behind? Clark was showered and changed by the time the sending off happened on my TV.
  10. As already posted above, Man City built their empire pre FFP, Newcastle won’t be able to do the same. Another key difference is that Man City quickly put in place the right teams and structures to allow them to build. Newcastle, on the other hand, seem to have Billy Smart’s Circus running the show. Their managerial appointment process was an absolute shambles.
  11. Newcastle fans smelliest in Premier League That’s one league table where I’m happy we’re in the relegation places.
  12. I’m putting £50 on them to beat Norwich on Tuesday. That should ensure Norwich get at least a point. I’d be overjoyed if they go down.
  13. That’s just a feeling of resignation. Dread is the fear of getting battered by the likes of Southampton.
  14. Ending Palace’s 7 game unbeaten run, and away from home too, is no mean feat. Hugely encouraging start from Gerrard. I’m slowly starting not to dread Saturdays again.
  15. Really living up to his name under Gerrard, so good to see.
  16. A war torn hellhole with no internet access. As a Virgin Media customer living in Birmingham I can empathise. (Apologies, not wishing to make light of the situation over there…)
  17. Fair play to you for having the presence of mind to put him right after downing 12 pints at half time. I salute you
  18. Maybe he’d followed through and needed to go and get cleaned up?
  19. As if we don’t already have enough reasons to laugh at them - a truly hideous new third kit that had already been rejected by Venezia: https://amp.footyheadlines.com/1208813497333828344/
