    I’ve always been surprised more footballers don’t get this done, I mean it’s not like they can’t afford it, and if you can afford it I don’t see why you wouldn’t get it done.

    I don’t hold any Ill feelings towards MON at all, the ship was started to sink before he left, due to Randy. MON made it great to support Villa again for a time, it was exciting having so many players in the England squad, mixing it with the best teams, being in the chase for Europe. I was gutted when he walked out, course I was young then and not internet savvy like we all are now with more insights into the behind the scenes.

    I feel most people on this forum are with you on this point of view. Personally I’d love him to stay and turn it around, on his day he is truly World Class. If he can get his fitness back and the bit between his teeth we would have one hell of a star player. Fingers crossed that happens.

    The name of the competition is stupid too. it’s no longer the champions. They should’ve kept the prestige of the actual champions of each league only qualifying and invest more into the UEFA/Europa cup. Basically their greed has **** it. Imo.

    Watch that documentary, the Cas hearing was rigged by sounds of it. Shocking and corrupt. My hope from this is that this starts a change in football ownership away from the obscene amount of money and greed. Sports Waahing needs to be gone. Spending caps, wage caps, the same for every single club. Any profits over 1 billion (or whatever) goes to charities etc.

    I know he is a Villa player still so assuming that means he will be expected to be reporting back for pre-season, who’s he going to train with… first team, reserved… u21’s? Such a shame how that Burnley game affectively ended what could’ve been a promising career.

    Yeah, I think a transfer embargo needs to be put in place at least until this is resolved. Especially if they are still with holding information and stalling proceedings

    I remember being bamboozled when Real Madrid signed Brazilian Ronaldo for £25m, me and my mates at school were arguing how no player is ever worth £25m… Oh foolish 15yr old me.

    How on earth is Declan Rice worth £105m. Doesn’t his contract expire next season too? More than peak Grealish, more than Haaland.
