Im staying up for this, I like working in a bad mood with very little sleep it seems.....

Wow that would be pretty annoying and I have no more cliches to offer as advice. Sometimes a different save is a good way to have a break and maybe you will come back to your Villa save in time. I do this with my Villa save, I have a save going where I don't manage in England. Started at my Adelaide United, went to Standard Liege, then Dortmund, now I'm at Real. Don't give up completely but maybe start that new save. One's thing for sure if you do win that title with Villa, it will be a fine moment in your FM career!

I'm not sure where I stand, I'm not happy with the way we play, and the way we defend. That's on him. But am I too quickly forgetting that for the best part of a decade we were a basket case. Run top to bottom terribly. Our first team was shite, youth teams in decline (over time), poor recruitment, poor manager choices. Owners with no care or no idea. CEO's who were complete numpties. I believe that we'll playing in the Championship next season, but I don't see that as disaster. This year will hurt the owners pockets more than anything else. As long as they let us spend the 'Jack' money, we should be fine.... IF lessons are learned and we recruit better we will have a decent team. Then IF we go back up we won't need the amount of players we did this season (at a guess 13 came in). Going down is not a disaster, I actually think with the way the PL is heading being a yoyo club is about as exciting as it gets.

I hope they go up, not a team I look forward to playing next season.

So you're writing me off because he has managed in a league you know nothing about. I understand what you're point was but making without ever watching a match he has managed in is a bit unfair. Hopefully he does get a job, so we can see how he goes. Like I said, small sample size, but I liked what I saw. I hate the Roar so I was trying not to like him.

Yeah he will part of the reason why Bournemouth go down. Poor recruitment from them over the last few seasons.

I don't think it is that risky, Brisbane Roar were a basket case before he took over and within a short period of time he took the same personnel and turned them into a hard team to beat. Small sample size but on what I've seen he seems to very capable as a manager. It will be a shame if takes the Small Heath job, as I would liked to have seen him succeed.

Ridiculous! Yet they will get away with it as 8 million is probably less than 10% of what the prompted clubs will get for being in the PL. My love for Villa will never wane but my love of football has diminished and will probably continue to do so.

As a gambling person I would say those odds are pretty right. Remember they're the bookies making an absolute fortune and we are the passionate fans who (some of us, not me) believe we can stay up. By the time we play them I'd be very surprised if the gap was still 3 points.

I'll say it again, Eddie "I spoofed 50+ million on Solanke and I've" Howe. No thanks, one hit wonder and even that's not working anymore. If Smith got sacked for Eddie Howe, I would be more than disappointed.
