I can name a few but this is the DD thread, you claimed he could help us stay up. Can you provide any evidence from the last 3 seasons to support this claim. Just any stats from the 3 most recent seasons, which is a fair sample size. Anything at all? Or is this just a hunch?

It's almost impossible to debate any player with you when you always revert to type.... But he was good once.... Drinkwater up until now has been nothing short of abysmal. He has done literally nothing. If he has a good game I will be sure to comment on it. Can I ask you a question? Who is a player that cannot do a job for us in your eyes?

C'mon SGC, Drinkwater has trouble keeping himself up at times. He has shown absolutely zero inkling of doing anything for us in a Villa shirt. Please don't tell me how good he was 4 seasons ago to justify your opinion.

This, I hadn't wanted to say it but I'll 2nd it. I don't care what league we play in anymore, being completely selfish I'd have us in the championship so I never have to watch the PL ever again. I'm so over the whole obsession of getting the league up and running. In Australia we have 12 active cases country wide (don't quote me on exact number) and we are still being more cautious than the PL and other leagues. In South Australia where I'm from we've had 4 deaths and have 0 active cases, and we are still being cautious with the return of sport. Im sorry but from the outside, and I admit I don't live in your country, but the PL is a disgrace and your government is a disgrace for allowing it. People who are being blase are morons. The US has been blase, see how that's working for them. The whole saga has seriously tainted my view of professional sports. I'll be backing my words up with actions too.

So the healthy under 40 people could carry the virus and infect people who can't fight it, so stop being so dense and simplistic. Football players have just as much right as anybody else to be concerned about their health and the health of their families. Income is irrelevant. Don't use as a stick to beat them with.

I've said it before I will always love AVFC, I will always follow their progress but I'm just about done with the PL and everything associated it. I just unsubscribed from kayo because they chose to charge me full price for nothing but replays. I rang them and they didn't give one iota that I was upset. They just wanted their money. If money didn't have any part of this, we wouldn't even be debating it. When sport returns I'm going to go and watch the local amateur on a Saturday afternoon and sod staying up all night glued to my computer screen. This period of time has taught me that there is more to life than football or any sport.

And you can guarantee it'll get pushed back again.....

I have thought this the whole time but it will never happen because the rules everything. The 20/21 season should be scrapped now. Everyone should calm the f#$k down and spend the rest of this year getting the important stuff, like people's health!!!!, sorted. Then when it is actually safe to do so, say early next year, finish the current season and European competitions. Before anyone starts replying, I'm not dumb this will never ever happen for a myriad of reasons. Contracts expiring in June 30th etc. This is however the most sensible and sensitive approach and all this talk if anything else makes me sick. There is going to be at least one death associated with the return of the Premier league. Also any increase in cases from a return will put massive dent in the hopes of 20/21 season finishing on time. I feel like the PL is full of demented people who can't actually think straight unless their wallets are getting fatter by the second....

You're save sound very familiar to my current one in FM19, I made the Champions league final before getting close to winning the PL, and won the bloody thing. It was amazing. I wish you the best of luck, I hope to see good news in your next post.

Not so much as defence as clarification, but I want to state, 3 times total in 15 years. All for fun. In that time I found my partner dead in our bed (7 years ago) Had my 2 grandparents killed in a car accident with my sister left with brain damage from the same accident (3 years ago) That's just the major stuff, I have never turned to coke to get me through a tough time, Ive never relied on it. I just like the buzz and being able to stay up till dawn playing darts....

You actually raise a very good point that puts me in an compromised position. I try and be a very ethical person in my shopping habits ..... Fair trade coffee, I'm vegetarian, try and buy local produce, support small business like the bakeries etc. You've raised an angle I hadn't thought of. I hadn't thought of the 'cost' behind the product.
