  1. And I can't wait to hear them, I think the day we make our first signing VT will go into meltdown!
  2. I quite like these videos, first found them on YouTube when looking at footage from Villa Park. I quite liked the after-match interviews, although some of the fans spoke rubbish. But then that's fans for you, it happens on here enough
  3. Definitely needs to go for me too. We need a clean slate, positive influence and everyone pulling in the same direction. Plus, surely we could find a better striker than what Gabby can offer us now. Don't take the chance and bring someone new in.
  4. But why risk this? Trying to build his confidence back up, when we could go out and buy a ready made, confident keeper that can play a part for us in our new team. Like all sports, success begins in the mind. If Guzan has got issues with his confidence, it's not worth the risk imo. Also, the (new) defence needs to feel confident in his ability. At corners, free kicks etc.. Can you really be sure Guzan's going to dominate his area.
  5. I saw this too cyrusr, I then went on to read the comments under the article. There's some pretty ecstatic inbreds that are proper excited about this. One of the Mongols even suggested building a statue of their new investor
  6. If he was English he would have carried on playing with an insignificant injury like those. Just look at the wonderful prince Harry Kane, he got kicked in the head by a nasty foreigner and still carried on running.
  7. I know, red alert conjures up images of a submarine under attack. All sirens and red flashing lights with people running around all over panicking. I hardly think BMH has a transfer battle station, be cool if it did though.
  8. Know what you mean mate. There's no point in us quibbling over £5m when it's not ours to start with. The only time I'd be concerned is if we only had a tiny budget and we were going to spunk it all on one player. If Tony's pockets are as deep as it seems then £10m for a decent striker shouldn't cause us any issues.
  9. He should be caged and held up as an example of where poor management gets you.
  10. Anyone know much about Jonathan Kodjia of Bristol City? Scored 19 goals last season for them. Must admit I'd never heard of him til I checked the top scorer charts.
  11. And even when the flag pole was broken, he still persisted with trying to make it work. To literally zero avail.
  12. Seen a few people on 'banged up abroad' that would disagree with that
  13. Don't know if this has already been discussed but it would be a great idea for AVTV to show extended highlights next season. For those of us that can't get to VP much it would give us something to go on. I'm not sure where we stand on rights deals but seen as its our own games and our own club, surely it would be possible?
  14. Looks like an improvement on the old site at least.
  15. I just hope if Erick Black is still hanging about, RDM doesn't listen to him too much when discussing players.
  16. And did he look like pele? YouTube has a canny knack for accentuating a players skills. Still, there isn't much else to go unless you've got time to watch 10 matches a week.
  17. Same here, I'd keep Clark and Baker in the squad and add a new first choice CB pairing, if we can find the suitable players.
  18. I'd give him another chance, as long as his heart and head's in it. His stats in Ligue 1 were really good. How does Ligue 1 compare to the Championship? Genuine question as I'm not so sure.
  19. I have to admit to not knowing too much about Lorna's role at Villa. But after reading the below it seems we've lost a lady who was very good at her job. Also interesting to read that her role was the first of its kind at a Premiership club, after Graham Taylor brought her in. http://mobile.avfc.co.uk/default.aspx?s=news-display&aid=2619872 22-02-2012 Paul Brown profiles players personnel, welfare and liaison officer Lorna McClelland. AVFC.co.uk continues its new feature series, profiling some of the people who are pivotal to the work that goes on behind-the-scenes at this great football club. This week players personnel, welfare and liaison officer Lorna McClelland. By Paul Brown The big, wide smile of Lorna McClelland perfectly illustrates the cheery disposition of a woman very much integral to the happiness of our star players at Bodymoor Heath....... (Didn't want to paste it all)
  20. There's definitely a very good player in there somewhere, just look at his YouTube highlights for an idea of what he's capable of. Yes, I know it's a highlights reel and even Heskey can look good on YouTube. However, watching these clips, he does have real pace, plenty of tricks and good close control. He's strong too so won't get muscled off the ball too easily in the Championship. He's still got a lot to prove with Villa but I believe the drop down and an injury free sustained run of games, in a winning team would see him improve. I'd love some of this next season ...
  21. I wonder what our Bobby is upto today? Hopefully he's not just buying stationary for his new office desk and he's hard at work plotting our revolution!
