Don't Inter play a deep defensive line? If Vidic cannot work in that system than his legs being gone might not be the issue.

I'm happy that we appear to be trying to sort the defence out, but I hope we are looking at attacking players too. Garde mentioned Loic Remy a few weeks ago but havent really seen anything since then.

The Express has an article saying Lerner wants Villa to become one of the best run clubs in the country and will not sell until it is. Seeing as he has managed the club into its current state I guess we are stuck with him for a while.

I picked Williams up a few weeks ago, very low price imo. Swansea are on a poor run but for 4.8m he is worth the risk.

I imagine he is on relatively high wages within the club. If he isn't going to play then get him out, freeing up transfer funds, wages and a place in the 25 man squad.

Start him. Helps us (hopefully) get the win, gives him better fitness and sharpness so he hopefully is more clinical against WBA and also helps him get used to playing competitively with some of our summer signings.

Usually Eris Kismet or Sherwood would do it for them. As long as th back it up on the pitch then so be it.

He needs to take a long look at Gabby and see the wasted potential and realise he needs to start busting a gut. However he would probably just see his money and lifestyle and think Gabby is a huge success. -
If only there was a way to reignite his motivation. I've never been a huge fan of his but he could be a lot more then he currently is and that would be good for Villa.

League comes first. Id rather give staying up a shot then chance of a cup win. Winning the league cup hardly saved Birmingham City from embarrassment when they were relegated.

I'm not a fan of Gabby but from what I recall he does have a pretty decent record in this fixture.and it is one of the few games where he puts a shift in.
