  1. Aston Villa and Pogues fans thinking they'd be top for Christmas and then Wham!
  2. Has their been any comms from the club about this at all? I'm assuming we'd not be wanted and would only potentially scrape into the lowest league. One of the plusses of if Purslow was still here we'd of heard the clubs thoughts on it as he'd likely be front and centre.
  3. Pretty much how I cook them. Only thing I'd add would be to not turn them for the first 30 minutes and to put the herbs on when you turn them not at the start (less likely to burn off). I often do the parboil and first 30 minutes or so the day before to save time and help make space in the oven if needed.
  4. James would need to go more than 47 seconds without suffering a major injury though.
  5. The local chat does strongly suggest Baines. Argyle have ties to the Liverpool area through senior management (past two managers both scousers) and they like young, forward thinking coaches which he apparently is. I just hope this doesn't derail their season and send them back down.
  6. It's not just pensions that people ignore. The number of people in their 30/40s who are married, have kids and big mortgages but don't have wills in place or taken out health/accident cover, life insurance etc
  7. Certainly looking that way but hopefully he stays at Argyle a bit longer. Mid-season manager change could easily ruin their season and send them down (just as they're starting to pull away from the drop).
  8. Email their Data Protection team or the ICO and complain about the data breach. They won't ignore it that way.
  9. As much as I hate Utd, them getting something out of this game would be a good thing. Liverpool are a bigger threat to us right now and it would keep ETH in place until we play them.
  10. He's making a list. He's checking it twice. He's left it at home. He's texting his wife.
  11. By the same argument, does tuning into the Superb Owl or going to a live game at Wembley make you an NFL fan? How many at Wembley were just after a novelty day out or tourists? How do you actually define what a 'fan' is?
  12. According to Google (so probably wrong) viewing figures in the UK where the following: - Superb owl = 4m people (seems high) - Grand National = 10m people. - Snooker Masters = 14.5m people.
  13. I'm mainly messing with my replies. I'd (grudgingly) agree that it is definitely growing in popularity (whilst reserving the right to condemn it's fans). I'm not sure if say it was actually popular yet though when compared to other sports. It's nowhere near football, will be behind rugby, cricket, F1, probably behind darts, snooker, horse racing etc in terms of active fans in this country.
  14. Have you got the data to confirm what percentage of the Wembley crowd are American? I'd also suggest that selling out one stadium once a year doesn't necessarily reflect popularity. If it was sold out 30 or 40 times a year, or multiple stadiums were selling out then possibly but I guess we have different views on what popular means.
  15. 200k American's live in the UK, they'd fill Wembley twice over. American football sucks, it's rugby with pads, forwards passing to make it easier, a break every 10 seconds and endless advert breaks.
  16. Football is a fantastic sport with a global audience whereas American Football sucks and pretty much only Yanks watch it.
  17. I just found out that Albert Einstein was a real person. All this time, I thought he was a theoretical physicist.
  18. Am at the Argyle vs Leicester game. Hopefully Azaz has a stormer today.
  19. If worth noting that Argyle are not only in a new league but they're still playing very attacking football. Consequently they're letting in a fair few goals and any defender will struggle with that.
  20. This is what has been unique about the Premier League compared to the other big leagues and helped it to become the global leader. Leagues such as La Liga allowed clubs to negotiate individual deals and naturally two or three of them took the vast majority of the money and killed any competition. The league then became boring.
  21. Are the ingredient amounts the same? Is it produced in the same way? Have they said nothing has changed? I'm not saying it has or hasn't changed, just wondering.
  22. I have one on all my devices. I dont use iptv/firesticks to watch games but have seen the authorities are trying to clamp down on people who do. I still think ultimately the league will set up their own streaming service but right now they probably see it as a faff they don't need to deal with (as multiple firms are still throwing money at them).
  23. I'm curious how many people using Firesticks to pirate the games are also using VPNs to hide what they're doing?
