  1. ahead of our "easy game" on Tuesday Bristol City are currently 2-0 up away at Newcastle
  2. The problem with that is nowadays there is no real reason for anyone to care. When you get a 4 year contract promising guaranteed wages of £50,000 per week regardless of you being brilliant/shit & win or lose it just doesn't matter. Why put all the extra effort in when in reality you do not need to. I'm quite sure that most of the new players know that if we were to be promoted and following the ambition of being one of the biggest clubs in th world they would all be sold/let go anyway and there will always be someone else willing to buy them & pay them regardless
  3. Not really surprised he's gone but the timing seems weird, Even though they lost at least there was a bit of fight against Sevilla and they only have 2 games before the 2nd leg, Liverpool on Monday which they will probably lose regardless of who the manager is and a massive bottom of the table clash with Hull the following week. Would have thought they would have kept him there until the second leg was done although looking at the weekends fixtures there is a reasonable chance that they could actually be bottom of the league by the time they play on monday
  4. He wasn't exactly crap was he. He took over after 15 games of which they had won 3 and were in/around the relagation zone, His record for the rest of the season was p31 w10 d6 l15. Sure it's not as good as this year but he was new to the league/country and managing Huddersfield who were not one of the teams expecting to do anything other than survive/finish mid-table anyway. They spent £500,000 on players last year & less than 4 mil this year In The Jan transfer window alone we have spent more than Huddersfield have in their entire history
  5. Everyone seems to agree that Zola is a laughing stock up the road, They have got 4 more points than us in 2017.... The sooner this thread is moved to "Other Football" the better
  6. Just because you can put your dick in it doesn't mean you should
  7. He has now lost his job after being asked to resign. Also under investigation from the gambling commission & the FA because someone at sunbet thought it would be funny to chuck him a few quid to get some extra publicity and he decided it was easy money. Doubt he was getting paid loads at sutton anyway but seemed to genuinely love football, even living at the ground 3 days per week to take care of the pitch & the teams using it during the day & now he is just an unemployed fat bloke who will either get a huge fine from the gambling commission or end up doing time for "assisting people to cheat at gambling" He had his 15 minutes of fame during the week, That should have been enough but being a greedy prick has cost him everything
  8. That fight was quite possibly one of the stupidest things ever on the show and that takes some doing. trapped & surrounded by chairs/washing machines, something that looked like a tv & other metal objects he decides to attack it with a plastic keyboard...
  9. Ok, I have no hope but apparently it is not just us that can be shit on TV. Newcastle have not won a Monday Night Football game since they beat Wigan in 2012, In fact they have only ever won 2 MNF games in total (the other game was Stoke in 2011) They have only played on a Monday twice this season (both over Christmas so not actually on Monday Night Football) & lost both of those too. This is a record that goes back over 12 games & 7 years
  10. Listening to the radio today you would think we had changed our name to 'Lowly Aston Villa' Tonight, Newcastle entertain Lowly Aston Villa Tonight, Lowly Aston Villa go to Newcastle
  11. Same here, would rather 1 good hiding to force someones hand than to keep getting turned over by Brentford/Barnsley etc. £100 on Newcastle with a -2 handicap at 9/2 should help ease the pain
  12. if it takes getting smashed 8-0 by Nwcastle on monday to get shot of him then so be it. No idea what has happened to him, 7 months ago he was almost the England manager and now just seems like a clueless idiot with no idea how to set out a team. Get rid, find someone temp for the rest of the season & just give Wagner whatever he wants at the end of the season.
  13. If Bruce is still here i hope we get beat 8-0
  14. Could be worse, This time next year we might be worrying about a game against Mansfield
  15. Simon Jordan on Talksport today summed up sherwood best when talking about Swindon. Doesn't think Sherwood is dis-interested, just isn't very good. One of those managers who is linked with every job but Got found out at villa, Tottenham already had good players and now he has found his natural level & that level is getting lower and lower. He's now set himself a low standard and is managing to achieve it. http://talksport.com/radio/listen-again/1486980000# was about 12.14 so hit the 12.00-12.30 section & skip to there.
  16. What if someone, even a friend has actually found a way to make $1000 per day working from home on the internet and is genuinely trying to tell you how to make you rich...
  17. Can see Leicester getting knocked out of the FA Cup by Derby tomorrow & it isn't going to get much better for them. They are away at Swansea on Sunday and a defeat there will really put them in the shit. As for the champions league, Sevilla are 3rd in the league (3 points off top), Only lost 4 games all season & scoring over 2 goals per game on average. They will hammer Leicester in 2 weeks time and Ranieri will quit after the first leg
  18. There was an interview with Karanka the other day that said he switches wings at half time as he only lets him play on the wing next to the dugout so he can shout instructions at him constantly as he isn't ready/capable of being left to work out what to do/where to be on his own. Aitor Karanka has revealed that he cannot trust Adama Traore to play alone - and so he swaps wings at half-time to keep him in front of the dugout. The Middlesbrough boss prefers to have the talented wideman within earshot throughout the game and says he isn't yet ready to be left to his own devices. But Karanka said: 'Yes, it's true, I swap sides to keep him close. 'I hope that one day he can play alone. At the moment he needs guidance, but he needs less than he needed one month ago. 'He's learning, he's intelligent - sometimes he tries to fool me - but he's intelligent and he will be a really good player. 'Sometimes he transmits to me he doesn't understand where he needs to be on the pitch when we don't have the ball, but I know he knows.' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4189944/Karanka-reveals-Traore-swaps-wings-stay-earshot.html
  19. Signing 3 attacking midfielders and playing one at left back and the other 2 as some sort of double sweeper/holding pair about sums it up
  20. If/When they go down someone at our club should be on the phone immediately to Peter Schmeichel to get his lad here. Sure he would get offers from other PL teams but his dad playing here and us seemingly being willing to spend whatever it takes to sort things out could just sway him and give us a top keeper for the next few years of progress
  21. Funniest thing last night was boxnations trolling. Making the channel free for the evening simply to Show 3 Eubank defeats back to back at the same time the ITV ppv was on
