I know im slightly off topic but i think these days for the most part they are all proper professionals. They have access to facilities we cant imagine and still maintain a level of fitness even if taking a holiday. Paul mc Grath managed it doing alot worse lol.
It is an abnormal season too so the ususal expectations might not apply.
IN 8 years he has made 184 appearences and scored 67 goals and made 19 assists. 39 of those appearences were as a sub. Not bad if you ask me and his recent records arent that bad either considering how crap we were and his limited run of games. if he had played 3 or more years with us already he would almost be a villa hero by now
Alot of our players whos first language isnt English , speak Spanish as a first or second language. If problems arose at Arsenal it might be due to the situation being different. They had germans, swiss, armenians, nigerians, french and egyptians.
Buendia in the middle of a 3 behind Ings, with Coutinho and Bailey outside. it might suit each of their playing styles a bit more. Wont happen of course.
Ings is a proven talent and he still has it, he had the most goal contributions last season and was on the bench alot. Some of his assists were world class too, I believe at this stage given a run of games he would do better then Watkins. He would work better in a different formation tho cos he wont have Watkins work rate
I think we can all agree theres a quality player there, one of our best and would start in at least half of the other premier league teams. But hes very lightweight and our problem is we have too many small players and we get bullied. Emi, McGinn, Coutinho, Bailey and Luiz are all small.
You would assume hes not good enough but just didnt seem like he was given a chance by getting a run of games together. Never set the world alight but didnt do too much wrong either.
