  1. The idea that, if the negotiating was done by official representatives of her majesties government instead of "some grey suited Euro suit", things would be much better for the average person is laughable. Open your eyes!

Not knowing more, I'd say that you are in with a good shout 9 weeks out. A couple of things worth noting. You should try get your long run up to 3hrs before your taper as you'll be on your feet for 33% longer than that during the marathon. Most importantly, are you taking any gel etc or other source of calories on your long run? Standard practice is to bonk hard in the first marathon without this. I enjoyed a nice 5.2 mile death march during my first marathon, being entirely ignorant and thinking drinking gatorade would be enough. Nope!! If not, look into buying some gels or blocks to try out and practice taking one every 5-6miles of your long run. Good luck!
  3. It's a couple of weeks now and no obvious issues have cropped up with respect to their analysis and the possibility of a ninth planet. I suspect that more objects will or not be discovered in the next few yrs which could strengthen our confidence in this model. In terms of directly detecting said planet, things are summarized really well by the folks at xkcd "This comic is about Planet Nine, a possible Neptune-sized planet far beyond the farthest planet, Neptune. Astronomers Mike Brown and Konstantin Batygin published a paper on 2016-01-20, only two days before the release of this comic." https://www.explainxkcd.com/wiki/index.php/1633:_Possible_Undiscovered_Planets
  4. I had a student do this a couple of months back and the solution seemed to be to install cygwin with every option/package box checked, else some command line voodoo was required. We never did track down which package was causing the initial issues similar to what you described. Works fine now for logging in remotely through the local VPN. Windows 10 if I remember correctly though... so make Bill happy and upgrade!

****ing wonderful, a full on pro-inflation, neo-keynesian, trickle down ****tard. Just what the club needs
  6. I really wish they could win the league a stick 2 fingers to sky and all their best league on the world bs... but I imagine that the Manc City chaps will be extra motivated with Pelli leaving, as he just seems like one of the most decent guys going. I know, I'd be busting a gut for him anyway.

I think you're at the cusp... I was there when I started "just" running too, and I used to get bored as hell but then I went from 30min efforts to I becoming comfortable doing 45-60min runs and just learned how to zone out. Easy peasy now and something I really look fwd. to at times, though I am listening to healthy dose of podcasts while logging my miles this cycle. Being banished to treadmill land pretty much requires that!
  8. We care what the newspapers think ?!?
  9. So Hillary barely wins by coin toss for the Dems and Cruz wins the Iowain luddite vote for the repubtards... next 8 days are gonna be fun.
  10. Agreed, is this more of a DM, Sun or Graun story?
  11. I apologize sir, in light of your compelling logic I concede the point. Truly brilliant, if I must say!
  12. Where has this commonly quoted $200 loss number come from? Currently the asset is worth somewhere in the region of $100m-$200m and he is additionally owned another $150m in debt. This doesn't account for whatever cash has been removed from the club over the last 10 years. He paid approx. $125. The debt does not disappear when he sells the club.
  13. It's his property/asset and he can do with it as he pleases, or I should say continue to do with it as he pleases.
  14. That's crap... if he really wanted out he would be gone. Saying you want to sell up and saying that you care etc. etc. Judge the man by his actions. err... this is a little harsh, no offence intended!
  15. Hope Remi lets rip during the post game presser!
  16. Okore looked so hilariously lost there!
  17. Ahh, come on lads. Take the tinted glasses off. The defender isn't even looking at the ball. We'd be right pissed if that was given against us.
  18. 4 more reds and the game gets abandoned... come on lads, where's your passion!
  19. You don't know what you're talking about if you think Richards makes a decent CB! Rubbish uncoachable athletic freak!
  20. It's Aston Villa... they probably will issue an official denial.
  21. box?!? kick it in the corner and first one there, gets smashed against the cage

If you are going to do sprints, I'd recommend starting with 200m as a minimum, 400m being much better or if there is a hill nearby 10-20s hill sprints work like magic too. Any of them x10 should do the trick. The goal should be to be able to push on the last one, i.e., pick a pace at the start that you can finish at. This may take a little practice! Also, remember to run a mile or two first so you'll be well warmed up and avoid your hip falling off.
  23. I personally wouldn't be as hard on the conspiracy crowd. Many of them are ignorant folks being led astray by more "intelligent" individuals. However, the 911 commission also refused (I forget exactly how/who set the terms of reference) to fully investigate things, e.g., Bush got a pass and there are those famous 29 pages in the super secret room allegedly regarding Saudi financial involvement. There are other issues. The official simulations of the building collapse don't actually collapse the building, but merely get near to the point where it "should" collapse. Now absent expertise in the non-trivial nuances involved in such work, it is very easy for a non-expert to ask questions, and then a lot depends on who answers them. Basically, there was a very shoddy investigation carried out leaving ample room for very reasonable questions to be asked given the loss of life and infrastructure... and resultant consequences. I personally think it is very unfortunate that all of those who are asking questions are dismissed as conspiracy idiots.
