  1. Wow, I just saw the post on twitter. Amazing work by the recruitment team.
  2. What on earth was the ref thinking???!?
  3. He articulated the issues with Boris Johnson extremely well there, he really did.
  4. Good spot. They also aren't good at SCA whatever that is.
  5. Those stats make Kamara and Bissouma look like ideal partners. Combined into one you have the perfect footballer.
  6. I suppose the one good thing that might have come about as a result of partygate is that it's encouraged the government to do a bit more to help out their voters. I don't believe the timing is coincidental personally.
  7. I didn't realise Villa had installed a transporter pad. Makes watching all those incoming airplane flights a bit redundant.
  8. Take the substandard ones out, apply some painted 'fixes' to them and mount them in pride of place so that when he comes round next time you can show him how you've brought his rubbish paintings up to standard
  9. Finished it. Can't say I thought it was very good really. Ep 5 felt like filler nonsense and ep 6 was just hugely predictable and just generally unoriginal. And as for the 'twist' in the post credits sequence.... I mean if they hadn't telegraphed it so heavy handedly over the previous five episodes at every possible opportunity I might have found it interesting, but in the end it was just incredibly obvious and boring. I felt like I was watching Star Trek Discovery or Picard at times - all show and no substance. Poorly written, predictable, no clear idea where it was going.... Such a shame because Oscar Isaac was great and the first episode on particular was excellent. I'm a bit worried about where Disney might end up taking Daredevil if as rumoured they are going to do more with that character. I feel like the MCU TV shows have lost their way a bit now. Just like Picard, this feels like a wasted opportunity of some good ideas. Maybe these days the studios are under pressure to put out quantity and the quality is just getting lost in the noise.
  10. Watched the first four episodes of Moon Knight. First two episodes were great I thought, then the next two were generic tired old Indiana Jones/Mummy/Buffy in a mental hospital but not as well done nonsense. I understand there is some reference to a particular comic book series with the hospital stuff but coming at it from not having read the comics it was a jarring, weird and poorly timed transition into that. I'm sure it'll make sense next episode but it just didn't really work for me at all. So far it's been 50/50 brilliant and poor. Two episodes left to pull it back otherwise I'll probably have forgotten about it in a few weeks.
  11. Red Bull's mechanical issues are really costing them this season
  12. Ahahahahahaha Max off now too. Maybe it isn't the Ferraris.
  13. Definitely something not quite right with those Ferraris. Sainz just spun off just like Leclerc did in quali yesterday.
  14. Now he's been on the radio effectively asking for the team to retire him. At least that's how I interpreted it.
  15. Disastrous start for Lewis. The mercs were swamped and then he hit a Haas
  16. Everybody is talking about the money (which is shocking true) but it's the other parts of the deal that worry me. He's basically made himself in charge of the team. Drop him for a game? Sack the manager. Play him when he doesn't want to play? Sack the manager. Play better than him? Find yourself being transferred. He might not exercise any of his new-found powers, but it sounds suspiciously like he wants a say in everything. And anything he doesn't like he won't have to do. Is this player power beyond anything we've seen? I can't imagine his costars are happy about it either.
  17. By being so rubbish that it doesn't matter
  18. Peter Gabriel 3 (Melt) A rare perfect album? Pretty much every track is gold. Definitely his strongest album in my opinion. Astonishing cast of guest artists - Paul Weller, Kate Bush, Robert Fripp, Phil Collins, Dave Gregory and more. Phil's drumming on No Self Control is off the charts brilliant (although Manu Katche actually managed to pull that drum fill off live perfectly, not many would get that right).
  19. We used to have an 800cc 3 pot Daewoo Matiz, and for some reason that tiny little buzzy engine was absolutely loads of fun.
