I pointed out that people my age think nothing of calling each other word removed and would it be ok if I called her one, seeing as that was a generational thing too. She didn't talk to me for a week. We had a black guy who did the morning deliveries and I always made him a cuppa with her mug and didn't wash it before making her one.
