Good teams and managers simply don't lose 5 games in a row, more often than not it loses you a job. Whether youre a Gerrard man or not, losing 5 in a row really doesn't leave much to support whatever side of the fence you're on.

I agree that his cog in the machine role at city means he doesn’t look anywhere near his 100m price tag, he probably would have flourished more at a United or Spurs team but when your free role is taken by the likes of Foden. KDB, Bernardo he’s just not going to get the chance to shine in the way he did at Villa.

Watching the Chelsea game yesterday and the City game today makes you realize just how far away we are from that quality. It’s like they are playing a different game.

Thought it was an excellent card actually, Burns unlucky not to get the win, KC couldn't have had many complaints if it went the other way. Thought the Yan fight was fantastic aswell and he wasnt robbed like he was claiming at the end. Volk was lethal as well.

Decent race imo, could have been a lot worse. I personally don’t like the cars much this year but the racing is certainly closer than in the past, you wonder if they even need DRS on certain circuits now.

I'm onboard with Gerrard but there's no doubt this season has been average at best. We've lost so many games and pretty much lost every game that you would expect us to. If success is now measured as not going down then yes we've had a good season but by nearly every other measure its been pretty dreadful. Its frustrating because we have an entire team of internationals pretty much and players who has been very successful at other clubs but its still not coming together for Aston Villa. If we go into next season with more or less the same team i can't see how our league position is going to improve. We've been well beaten by every decent team and a few relegation candidates this season. I cant see what we are working towards. If we are planning on spending big again in the summer there simply has to be some measurable improvement to our quality of football and league position.

Can’t wait until we lose to Spurs next match, another lovely losing streak on the cards again. Losing streaks is about the only thing we’ve done consistently this season. Rudderless as a club, no identity, average players who can only perform once every 3 games. Players who seem to save everything for their international games. Really struggling to take any positives from today and the season in general…

Just imagine our team with ward prowse and Phillips in midfield, that would genuinely improve us to a top 8 finish I believe. The players are out there and gettable.

To get top 6 you need a squad that has 4-5 players that perform every week and then the rest who can perform at least every other week, who can you say that applies to in our team? I don’t think we even have 3 players that perform every other week. We’re bang average and the league table is telling us that loud and clear…

That has to come down to the manager. Worries me a bit that he plus 4-3-3 without question, never mind the opposition or who is fit or inform we’re playing that way regardless.

I said 45 points about 10 games ago and we’ll be lucky to get that, with our budget that is frankly terrible.

Just shows you how poor the bottom half of the league is when we are sitting in 9th place, take away a few good wins and we’ve really had a dreadful season, barely any momentum gained, multiple losing streaks, horrible performances totally lacking in any confidence and basically losing every game you would expect us to. For the money spent it’s just not good enough for me.

I quite like watching crime and interrogation videos on YouTube and one of them has always stuck in my mind where an American interrogation is taking place. The suspect says he's been talking to a woman in Bulgaria and the detective says where is that? It blows my mind that a 40 year old man in that kind of position wouldn't have heard of the country Bulgaria before.

I agree. Those billion dollar grossing films are criminally underrated.
