Have a feeling he will become a love to hate character for opposition fans.
Been on a few of the baggies forums and they are already slagging him off big time.
I'm willing to give him a chance personally, yes he doesn't have the pedigree of the majority of prem managers but for me we made the right choice with Sherwood over someone like Tony Pulis, you never know he might just be the next big thing, you don't have to work your way up through the lower leagues to prove your worth as a manager. Pulis will do a job at West Brom but no more than that, hes average at best and certainly wont be challenging for Europe. Give it a couple of years and we might have the next Mourinho or Brendan Rodgers on our hands. That's a better chance to take than employing a bang average manager like Pulis imo.
Just look at a fellow prem team like swansea who i thought would drop like a stone after bringing in Gary Monk. It just goes to show that motivation of players counts for so much, if they are playing for you then you'll be ok. If you want to break the top 6 its basically spending a 100 million to get the job done regardless of who your manager is.
