I suppose he’s not here to be popular he’s here to make the club money. The premier league lost it soul decades ago and if we are to compete at the top tough unemotional decision will have to be made.

There have been numerous times where we’ve set up different, sometimes Kamara covers the right hand side and drops as the 3rd central defender. Recently yes it’s often been Konsa, Carlos, Pau with Dinge/‘Moreno in a advanced position. Having watched more than one Unai Emery team play I can assure you his plans require flexibility and are not set in stone.

It’s one of Emery’s plans I suppose but sometimes we play with 2 attacking fullbacks the tactical approach differs when people constantly say this I wonder if the actually watch our team at times.

Nice finish his talent is obvious hasn’t quite been going for him but this is what Emery and Monchi do the polish players up and coach them into quality. Give it time and wait same goes into the Duran thread who’s starting to become a bit of a scapegoat, when will people learn?

He was given one opportunity this season and he blew it, think he need to find a club in January or the Summer , Emery doesn’t bomb players out he had a player at Valencia who was constantly asking for first team minutes , Emery had told him previously he that he didn’t believe he was up to standard regardless of the situation the Player was allowed to train and be involved with the first team. Emery eventually gave him and opportunity to play the player was badly exposed and came to realise after that match he wasn’t up to standard and agreed to move on, it sort of mirrors what happened with Chambers in Warsaw.

Mentioned Kubo back in the a summer window, really good player not sure if we need him with Bailey, Ramsey and Diaby and then Zaniolo who has the option to buy and probably cheaper value than Kubo. Zubimendi on the other hand would be and excellent target if we secure champions league football then I think it would be realistic to target players like him as rotation options.

Tbh I wouldn’t be happy playing Nketiah but Arsenal were last season and it’s partly reason why their title challenge failed. I’d love a striker as good as Watkins in the squad but It isn’t as easy as that I’m afraid Nick.

So basically we Have Watkins, Duran, Diaby and Zaniolo all have played striker role as some point this Diaby and Zaniolo out of possession but regardless they are probably in a similar bracket to Gakpo. Eddie Nketiah was in a similar role to Duran few seasons back Arteta kept faith with him despite Arsenal fans thinking they needed a better backup to Jesus.

Maybe but it would be a good gig for him it’s a good developmental league some decent young talent to work with as wel as experienced pro’s good facilities a new country and experience and probably better wages than the championship.
