You are right, that is the best looking side we can produce at the moment and on paper, it has the potential to be really effective, but I am unsure about McGinn's discipline and/or Luiz's concentration. We seem to be struggling for a formula that suits us. Hopefully it comes soon, or the natives will become restless!

I seem to recall him being touted as an exciting attacking wingback, but all I see is him surging past his man, putting his foot on the ball and either passing sideways or backwards. Why?

Embarrassed today. Young's spot to lose and Matty played like he knew it. Fragile ego it seems.

Better second half, but only after we had killed ourselves in the first half. Seen plenty of stick for Young on here, but him replacing Targett was the reason we weren't embarrassed. He was my MOTM from a field of one. Bailey showed he has potential. We are very much a work in progress and at this precise moment in time, all the crowing from players about Europe looks utterly ridiculous. I like Ings, but Buendia was anonymous. Well played Watford, excellent performance.

Agreed, in a word naive.

Hardly surprising given our pre-season, but still disappointing to have it confirmed that the progress has been halted. Watford look a much better team, we look overrun (as usual), in midfield. Young is our best player. Buendia anonymous and the producer of yet another floated set piece cross. Looks almost certain we are going to lose this game unfortunately and we could well struggle for a while.
