  1. I’m more worried about Chambers.. am I wrong.. I’ve not seen him play live so I may be way off
  2. At least he doesn’t give them any excuses. His comments after the game give me confidence he’ll sort it.. but he needs a little bit of time!!
  3. Oh boy..give him one summer window and a proper off season..
  4. A bit of a wash out on the pre match interview
  5. Didn’t mean any offence.. I thought the OP wanted to know where to get some food for his family and I was suggesting that the City Centre had a better choice.. I wasn’t commenting on where Villa fans drink
  6. I’d go in to town mate… not far and much better than Star City
  7. From what I've read on here, this sounds like we have a very slight advantage in that we can wait until the Summer, if necessary, to fill this position whereas it sounds like Juve really need the money.. down to the wire on this one I guess
  8. He’s my favourite player.. and I think he’ll anchor our midfield in years to come.. I’m hoping for Roy Keane type impact on our team from him.
  9. If Sanson hadn’t got injured I think he would have missed some valuable development last year.. Silver linings and all that..
  10. Exactly, surely his advisors know the longer he holds out the more he becomes the real deal and earns the ‘right’ amount
  11. I’ve always wanted a manager that had Little/Gregory style with MON competitive intensity… I am very cautiously optimistic
  12. I’m glad you and your wife are safe and well.. thanks for the photos.. you will be truly… Villa till you die
  13. Sounds like you deserve a pint or two… A night game against City will be rocking mate..
  14. When Luiz is unavailable I think that Ramsey covers that position better than Nakamba..
  15. Great choice by Norwich.. I think that Dean will recruit well for them if he gets a chance in Jan, there’s an outside chance he may keep them up.. in my opinion.. and personally I hope he does
  16. If you're reading this when the whistle goes... you're it!! .... Pass it on...
  17. I agree with your point, although I’m personally still not sure about sacking Smith… but if we do… whoever replaces him will not be a sure fire winner,,, Poch managed Saints ffs, so surely there’s a diamond out there waiting for a big job like ours..
  18. also we came in to the season off the back of a relegation battle and I felt our intensity carried over to the new season and took teams by surprise early on..
  19. I’ve been supporting Smith because I think of him as a culture builder.. tomorrow’s match will tell us so much in terms of how far we’ve come. I expect to see a fully committed coherent team. Will it be enough to win? Personally I think it will be.. ( I have had a couple beers though..)
  20. but the best team managers in all sports are the ones who build the best cultures
  21. I know I’m a bit late on responding to this post.. but.. thanks! Seriously.. Thank you!
  22. I'm based in Southampton and I've seen him on multiple occaisions at St Mary's over many years. I totally agree with this assessment.
  23. Hopefully we’ll see a second season uplift in his game
